With Districts upon us, who are some of the teams that might be able to upset someone in the first round and leave some of the big names out of the regional tournament? This is mostly for those teams that seed, any 4/5 seeds that might be able to upend a 1/2 seed in the first rounds?

I could see St. Henry beating Lloyd in the first round of the 34th District and advancing to 9th Region tournament. Despite only 4 wins going into Districts St. Henry got Zach Barnett back recently and some of the younger players have been playing well lately.

I could see Holy Cross knocking off CovCath in the 35th.

Not an upset as that happened once this year and HC is the 2 seed and CCH the 3. If CCH wins, then that will be the upset.

I believe Trinity must play Ballard in the first round of the Districts due to Seneca winning the district.

One of these teams will be left out and thats a shame. Both of them are top notch teams in the state

In the 30th district, Anderson County's boys' are a well-coached bunch under Glen Drury. He's probably worth 10 points as the coach on the sidelines... They must play Eminence in a "play-in" game (4 vs. 5) (no longer the "gimme" that it used to be...Eminence will put up a big fight, but Anderson will be heavily favored), and then would face #1 seed Spencer County on their home court. But the regular season matchup between the two was brutally close.... I could see Anderson slipping past Spencer potentially and making it to the District finals to face - most likely - #2 seed Collins.

Granted HC slipped by CCH in the first game but CCH should still be the favorite with their superior size.

I would agree. I could definately see St Henry sitting in the final game at Districts and blowing past Lloyd.

North Hardin and E'town are among the top five teams in the 5th Region, but one of them won't make it to Green County. The Panthers won by a point at home over North, but the Trojans beat them by 11 in Radcliff. E'town has the only win by a 5th Region team over John Hardin.

17th District is at Central Hardin, the 4 seed, who fell by just 3 at John Hardin, the top seed.

Holy Cross out played Cov. Cath. and deserved the "W" in Park Hills. I agree that with Cov. Cath.'s superior size, they should be able to control the paint. This one is a pick'em. If they played 10 times I think Cov. Cath. would win 5 or 6, but who knows what will happen on Tuesday on a neutral court. Should be a great game.

Buckhorn and Perry Co Central play first game of the district...one will not be going to the region.

In the 37th district Brossart vs Campbell Co in semi-final. One good team will be left out.
