Really excited for the game tomorrow vs. Lex Cath. Hopefully Holmes wins so I can make the trip down south Saturday!!

Is everyone satisfied with the points Holmes put up? All week everyone talked about lack of scoring from Holmes, I think this game took care of that statement.

Exactly. The 9th Region defense is so underrated. People made a huge deal about Holmes only scoring 32 last week, but today they had that in the first half. You don't see defense as good as Boone's down state.

Sounds like Rico came to play. I picked him as player to watch in the tourney. Go Dawgs!!! Bring the trophy home to the 9th.

Total of 45 fouls called in this game. They could get in some trouble with that if they keep calling them at that pace. There had to be 10-12 calls made 25 feet from the basket. I hope they handle Lex Cath's press better than today. My heart flutters whenever Rice is handling the ball.

I was very impressed with Christian County, they are quick, that No. 11 is the quickist player i have seen since Dicky Beal, Go Dogs and good luck against Lex Cath.

Jeremiah Johnson played one of the best....if not the best game of his life. He went 6-8 for 14 points... Was strong with the ball all day and played with confidence. It seemed like everyone of his buckets came right after a Christian County run. I was very impressed with him today.

Pretty good game overall. Holmes needs to take care of the ball and limit their fouls to win the next one. They did score 72 points. That's the ninth time this season to break 70. Still a couple of teams left that are much quicker than the one they beat today.

Double Double for Ricardo Johnson. Despite all the hype about Pittman, Rico is the best player for Holmes. He is a Mr. Basketball candidate next year. He's a BCS D1 level recruit. Size, athleticism, skill...just a complete ball player.

You raise an interesting point.

 

Holmes shot about 50% against Boone and only scored 32 points. Is Boone just unreal defensively? I don't think Holmes changed their offensive game plan for CC so I'm guessing CC simply doesn't play much D. Holmes will kill teams that don't play D.

I thought all we heard is that only the 9th region officials call it tightly and it hurts the 9th downstate?

All I know is Holmes was in foul trouble early and often and dealt with it better than I expected they would if foul trouble arised. They had 4 guys over double digits and one with 9. This was a complete effort from the dawgs offensively and defensivly, I just hope the lack of depth doesn't get them in trouble. Henley doesn't wanna go any more than 8 deep.

I was really impressed everyone contributed to the game today, only thing that scares me is their lazy passes and no help when a ball handler is in trouble. I agree the refs were whistle happy today and in my opinion there were a lot of ticky tack fouls on both teams. But glad to see Holmes pull it out. 1 down, 3 to go. Go Dogs!
