i am wondering: Will most coaches - if they score that 5th touchdown and are up 34-0 - go for the 2-pt conversion and get the clock running, or will they settle on 35-0 and keep playing a regular game? Will it be insulting to an opponent to go for 2? FWIW I think the magic point total should have been 40. As it stands the change went from 7 TDs to 5 TDs; too big of a reduction for me.

Should be on trinityrocks.com. Guessing HHS will have it on the web somewhere as well. And to an earlier point, every other year each of these schools makes $15,000ish hosting this scrimmage. 98% of high schools in the state don't make that on any given Friday all season long. Nice little practice.

Where is Milan and how good are they supposed to be? Regardless of the answer to that question, love to see KY throw a beating to a TN team!

I posted a month ago in another thread but it bears repeating: It will not take long for folks to say, "Where have they been hiding Bonnafon & Brooks for the last 2 years???" If the defense grows and gels this will be a very fun year. This offense will continue to score points against everybody. May take early lumps (or may not?), but come November this should be another T team that you won't want to play.

T fans should be happy. They are tired of having the #1 albatross around their necks every July! Frankly, though, this season will boil down to which coaching staff adapts and grows and has their team ready for round 3 in November.

The new unis really do look good.

I think a lot of focus is still on the players that T lost, and not enough credit is being given to the players that they have. I truly believe that Bonnafon and Brooks are going to have people wondering where T has been hiding them for the past two years.

That is a good honorable mention list for top 3 basketball players at T! Might also consider Keith Calvin, Jim Campbell, Carwell Gardner.

The Rocks might go 8-7 and still bring home another championship. Seriously. Or they could go 11-2 and lose to X in the playoffs. It will surely be another fun ride!

As A T fan I agree with Avid. While the gesture may have lacked class (argue that all you want - I don't really care) it didn't cause the disparity that followed over the next 3 years. I think the game this year will be very close.

This would not surprise anyone from Louisville. What a petty thread this is. I just hope T continues to play a 5-game Nov/Dec schedule.

Hopefully they play the same November/December schedule they have had for the last eight years.:ylsuper:

Put me in the minority, but I think this is stupid. If you get hurt tell your grandkids about how you came up shy of 1000 because of an injury. Getting 13 free points (or 9, or 20, or 5, doesn't matter) is silly and a travesty. What a dumb story to tell the grandkids, "Let me tell you how I scored 1000 points in high school..."

Wonder if T sells out for the Madison Central game on Friday?

He is going to be FUN to watch next season. With the Rocks returning Swabek & Brooks and most of the O-line and a couple of frosh/JV that will step right in at receiving positions... Hmmm, we'll see.

As a fan of T & BG I will say the following: Give me an all-star team of players LEFT OFF COMPLETELY from BG, X, HHS and Cov Cath, and they would beat the second team all-state easily, and maybe even the first team.

Wrong. Quick had 195 receptions going into the season (check KHSAA website last updated Aug 9, 2012). Quick then caught 85 passes in 2012. My math says that equals 280 receptions, 14 more than Montrell. Admittedly not knowing what other numbers may have been put up around the state in 2012, Quick's numbers this season appear to place him third all-time in receiving yardage (4,434) and touchdown receptions (57).

Anyone who doesn't think that Quick would have been the best cornerback in Kentucky had he been put in that position just doesn't know the player that he is. The young man could step up and play outside linebacker if he had to. Or running back. Or safety. Seriously. There is not one coach in Kentucky worth his weight in salt that could honestly say "I would rather have (insert any HS player's name here) than James Quick."
