  1. Did Chris Early play??
  2. I'm glad to hear that the Harris kid played well. Earlier in the year when Belfry knocked off NCC Harris had a sub-par game, but you could tell that a little more experience & better timing was all he needed to be a very good QB. Congrats again to NCC, Harris, & Vicars.
  3. Ditto...I think the majority of AA fans across the state, as well as others, were pulling for the Red Devils. They gave a valiant effort and are to be commended. Any game stats for the two teams? I know Russell's Kasey Clark had a great all-around game. Who else stood out?
  4. Congrats to the 'Rocks on another impressive run.
  5. What time is this game scheduled to start?
  6. Ugh.....a draw play would have been nice.
  7. I think the fans at this game are seeing the two best teams in AA, without a doubt. This fan here is cheering for Russell to pull it out.:thumb:
  8. If you've seen the game, then you'd know that not all of those throws were 50 yard bombs. McBroom made play after play all day, too. Brohm & Bush were/are the superstars on that field, but on that day I thought McBroom looked every bit their equal. Sergio Spencer had a nice game as well.
  9. Belfry in '04...526 yards rushing as a team...28-21 win over Owensboro Catholic. Doug Howard: 32 carries, 278 yards (State Finals Record) and 3 Tds David Jones: 27 carries, 176 yards and 1 TD
  10. Why do people fail to acknowledge the game Tashaun McBroom had that day? I'm not 100% on the numbers, but I think he had double-degit receptions, 4-5 TDs, 300 yards receiving. That's a heck of a game for anyone.
  11. Is oneijoe insinuating that we lie about our enrollment numbers now?? There are the facts.
  12. I'd prefer you to "grin & bear it"...but to each his own.
  13. Didn't we used to do this after the State Finals?? I've only seen a few of the teams on the list, so I'd rather wait until after this weekend to give an opinion.
  14. Nice post, and thank you for what is sure to be a short stay at BGP.
  15. Should Hendo take this as a compliment?
  16. Personally, I think this was the most enevenly matched game Belfry & Russell have played in the past three years. The Red Devils dominated our Pirates. The truth is that Belfry was outmanned. And honestly, I find more comfort in that as opposed to thinking we coulda, shoulda, or would won had we done something differently. The Pirates are relatively young, and by now they should be hungry for another trip to Louisville, so next year could be different. It really all depends on how this year's sophomore & junior class dedicate themselves in the offseason as to what the chances are like the Pirates will get their. But for now...I really hope Russell goes to Louisville and puts an end to the juggernaut Mercer Co. has been to this point. Let's face it. Whoever won this game was going to be the underdog and nobody likes the fact that Merger Co. found a way to "defunct" the system. I'm a Red Devil fan this week coming.
  17. The turf at Papa John's is not like the turf we grew up accustomed to seeing. It's about as close to grass as you can get, so cleats are DEFINITELY the shoe to be wearing. It's like the real thing, but not quite...if you catch my drift.
  18. All I saw was physical domination by the Red Devils...point blank. Nice game plan, nice win, and I really hope Russell and Coach McGlone beat Mercer next week for the title.
  19. Dows anyone have the complete list?
  20. Less than 1 hr 45 minutes, the way I drive.
