Henderson County did not look like a 4A football team

Did anyone else notice that?

 

They were small and they were few.

 

However, they had some players, just not enough of them, and they were not very big.

 

I believe it is near impossible to win a 4A title with such depleted ranks.

Henderson County's players were VERY small. I walked past them after the game and with them being in equipment and having cleats on I was still bigger than the majority or them.

 

The RB was a player though. I was very impressed w/ him.

I agree a million percent. When they ran out all of us couldn't believe how small they were.

I counted 38 players in pads (1 in jersey, no pads). Henderson County also brought 31 cheerleaders. How many other big schools have the team almost outnumbered by the cheerleaders?

Dunbar has about 4000 cheerleaders.

I thought it was interesting they only dressed 37 players. Henderson County is the 2nd largest school in the state. Heck they had more cheerleaders tonight. (42 I think) Are things that bad there?

I understand it is a Duffy team and that is the way they do business. However, this is not Danville or Highlands, this is big school football and Slim 30 ain't going to cut it.

It's like deva vu all over again.

 

Duffy dressed 29 for Highlands once to Cincinnati Moellers's 91. Last year when Henderson Co. played Moeller it was much the same and would have been this year if the game wasn't cancelled.

 

Soon (give it 3 years) Ryle might be dressing 90.

How big is Henderson Co?? 1,800 or so kids 900 plus or minus males and you can only get 3.5% of the male student body to play varsity football???

When they first took the field in warm up with only about 30 or so players I commented to my buddies that the Raiders were going to wear them out, too many kids playing both ways, and they looked gassed on D before halftime.
