Gotta realize that T and X don't have too many openings to schedule as many big teams as the two headed monster up north. T plays seven district games, and a game against X. That leaves only 2 spots and sometimes you can't get the schedule done. Now next year, with smaller districts that leaves more open dates. Another thing is the later starting date. Other states start later than KY and the new date allows a better opportunity to schedule bigger games.

While I understand the emotion of the above posts, I think that it is a sin to wish death on anyone, even your worst enemy.

New Update!!!!! The game has been rescheduled again to 3:00 sunday afternoon. Apparently the suprentent of Harrisson Co. will not allow the team to come to Lexington due to the weather report. Harrisson just needs to give this one up. It has now begun to effect the preparation for next weeks games for each team. Both teams will have big games comming up next week.

Would've been real interesting last year.

In High School, many kids don't know how to use their bodies, or don't yet feel comfortable in thier bodies. Some kids that are just "hurt" feel injured.

Someone who is a Lex Cath supporter could enjoy this more, as far as seeing the road get a bit easier(no disrespect to Franklin Co, but LC has never lost a game in the district). LC will not have to face the two headed monster in back to back weeks from NKY. The team that did it last year can really see it as a great acomplishment. However, it won't matter next year with the revised class system. Cov Cath and Highlands fans don't be disappointed. A home and home series is in the works between LC and the two of you for the next couple of years, and hopefully to be extended and continue to develop a rivalry in the future.

IMO, Ammons would have better potential as a DB in college rather than a QB. He could be a solid D-1 safety. Look at Adam Ritchey, former QB at East Jessimine.

Chop blocking. You cant block a player low, while another is blocking him up high.

But don't the Birds use Kramer to return kickoffs? He almost changed the game in the playoffs last year agianst Lex. Cath. with the kick return in the 2nd half. Special teams is just as important as O and D and its the coaches responsibility to do what is best for the team to win that battle.

I loved seeing the Highlands and Cov Cath fans on a saturday afternoon last year. Great support on both sides.

This could help with some teams trying to get bigger out of state teams sceduled. Many other states start one or two weeks later than KY, and coaches who through the new classifications have more games to fill, cannot always get big time programs from out of state in week one or two. This may help that.

There are no secrets in the recruting world. Word gets around quick, and it doesn't start on BGP. If a school is really recruiting him, people will find out about it.

The All star game is a BIG STAGE, and to be invited, most often your team has to have played great competition on a BIG STAGE and the player has had to be sucessful agianst those teams. Just the way it is, players from Louisville, Lex. and NKY play on the bigger stage more often than the rest of the state; just the way it is.

If guys as acomplished as Justin Burke or Todd from E-Town did not play in the game, I don't see Petrino playing. It is very hard to see any, even Anderson playing. You must be incredibly accomplished by the end of your junior year, and that acomplishment must reach farther than the boundaries of the State of Kentucky.

Just remember, getting attention from D-1 progams is not getting actively recruited and getting scholarship offers from them. Can't tell you how many kids have gotten "letters" from good schools and tell everyone they know how such and such or so and so are recruiting them. We will know on signing day.

Wes Cissel, who also used to coach at Lex. Cath is there, along with Traye Moore, former head coach of Bryan Station before Lucas.

He has played JV for LC agianst two pretty good programs and has done quite well. LC's two JV games so far have been agianst St. X and Cincy St. X.

When the average start to Scott Co.'s scoring drives were at the Lex Cath 30 yard line, the 36 points arent too bad. Scott. Co did very well on special teams(except for allowing a 99 yard KO return). Lex Cath couldn't punt.

If Frankfort cant stop the back out of the backfield in the passing game, it will be a long night

Some schools have a tradition where the kids and coaches wear eye black during the playoffs.

My opinion from watching the game... #4 for Boone is pretty good. Scott Co. took advantage in the 3rd quarter of Boone Co.'s poor tackling and poor run fits. SC running backs got through creases that were poorly filled by Boone LB's. Once Boone got down (31-14 I believe) they started to throw the ball some. The arm on the QB #11, was pretty good as far as velocity, but you could tell they don't work on that part of thier offense much. It took him about 5-6 throws to warm up. After that, he was much more accurate, and they were able to take advantage of Scott Co.'s poor coverage. Boone should have onside kicked after scoring thier last touchdown. They took thier second time out to set up the failed two point conversion, and had only one left. Thier D was not going to stop Scott Co. from getting a first down. IMO, had Boone sprinkled in the passing game more in the first half, their QB wouldn't have had the wasted throws in the 4th quarter, and thier chances of winning would have been much better.

But not all investigations end in convictions(at least not initally). No fine for a school, means the KHSAA is responsible for the bill.

It has Lex. Catholics record as 0-1, when they open at ST. X Friday. With the KHSAA punishment as getting a game taken away, is it counted as a forfeit?
