LSURock Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 All I can say is, if you do this kind of thing you'd better win.
cvillecat Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 A picture is worth a thousand words.:thumb:
TomcatChick41 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I think that face painting should be banned. Im fine with eye black but painting your face like a pro wrestler is just overboard.
LSURock Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I know one school where its banned. They seem to do just fine without it.:thumb:
cshs81 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I think that face painting should be banned. Im fine with eye black but painting your face like a pro wrestler is just overboard. Is it any more overboard than wearing multiple wristbands all over your arms?
CatchMeIfYouCan Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Who's the player that played for the Vikings that had that kind of face paint ?
OldRaider22 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I know one school where its banned. They seem to do just fine without it.:thumb: I don't particularly care for it either, but seriously, plenty of schools do fine with it too. Some school called Hoover High in Ala. has done pretty well doing it. I'm sure there are plenty more. Why do you HAVE to win if you do this kind of thing? Does it hurt Trinity's pride or insult them if some kid from Ryle paints his face? Kid's being kids, that's all. I would love for them to do away with all the wristbands, face paint, under armor all over, etc. but that is the culture we live in. If the kid wants to do it, so be it, but don't make a mountain out of a molehill. If I had my way, all of the teams would wear the old school Penn St. uni's, leather helmets, and the whole nine. Then we'd really be old school and we could talk about how fine we do without all of that color and protection and what not.

bulldogtech Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Whats it hurt? I like it. Where is the kid in the pic from?
OlDog75 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Whats it hurt? I like it. Where is the kid in the pic from? Looks like Ryle.
risky5 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Yep, that's a Ryle pic, from their game against NCC. That is Kris Pridgen, a DT for the Raiders. The kid does play with alot of intensity. Plays like he's 6'3'' 260 lbs., instead of his 5'10'' 210 stature.
Henry521 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Looks like he isn't fond of photographers.
50inarow Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 but don't make a mountain out of a molehill. That’s great advice. LOL

Once you become the top team in the nation then you can paint your face like them.
