BGHS, Central, HHS, or LexCath

If I missed some you would like you may write them in....I just personally think that ealry on, the above are the cream of the crop. I voted Central, because of how explosive they are, with being well coached, AND HUNGRY.

There should be some more teams on this poll.

CovCath is clearly better than LexCath and Central, and might be better than HHS and BGHS, we will have to see on those two. They get my vote.

I think BGHS is on a mission this year. They have some big boys on their lines and some serious talent in the backfield. I pick the Purples. :thumb:

I can agree with that.:thumb:Of the four choices I would bet on HHS though.

What about Bell County!?! Seriously Bell could be very good by the end of the year! I really like the team's potential.

I would say right now Highlands is probably the best team. I think LexCath is overrated and doesnt have a good enough defense to get out of their 3A region.

If you even start to mention Bell, then you must mention Johnson Central also. The Varsity has had two defensive shutouts that were later spoiled by the JV. Not to mention they are one of the few teams still standing undefeated. They don't have the toughest schedule in the state, but definately dont have the weakest, playing South Point OH and Bryan Station

My vote definately goes to Highlands

You have 4 of the top 6 from BGP's 3A poll. #4 Rockcastle lost to Lincoln this week and will be on the way down, but why would you leave out #3 CovCath?

I voted for Highlands.

Has to be Ashland , they beat Red Army , Devils and Portsmouth West ... ( couldn't pass this up )

 

Seriously ... Highlands ... without a doubt , head and shoulders above 3A type play I have seen so far this year including Ironton Ohio ...

 

Ashland is improving and I will be rooting for them come playoff time ...

Just think...BGHS has been doing theirs so far (including Friday against Greenwood) without a healthy roster. They're starting to get healthy. But they held St X to a 15-7 victory with the Purples being completely decimated by injuries, the worst rash they've had since 1999. Against Christian Co, they were still badly beset with injuries AND the Colonels outgained the Purples by 147 yards in total offense. But the Purples showed grit and heart and found a way to win. The Purples are steadily getting healthier now, and they've learned more about themselves than I'm sure they really wanted to know by now. They're a much better team for it. When this team gets completely healthy, it will be a truly awesome team!
