  1. The second half shooting statistics for Bowling Green must have been just awful. They were shooting 67% at the half. Also, I have a feeling they did not get off many shots in the second half.
  2. That first half was the ugliest basketball I have watched in quite some time.
  3. Great game! It is the first time I have gotten to see Mercer County. They have a very nice team and had a dynamite season. Hate to see them lose a tough game in round one. They deserve better.
  4. They called Cameron Mills' name, but I think that was really UK nose tackle Matt Elam. :sssh:
  5. I had to witness it to believe it. I have been going to games for 50+ years and have NEVER seen a shut out in a quarter before today. And, I have seen some really rotten basketball teams. They were able to score, unlike Trinity in today's second quarter. Unbelievable.
  6. The new school will be at 1970 Winchester Road, which is the northern-most land of the Hamburg development. It is less than a mile from the high school to I-75.
  7. This was the correct choice. Congratulations to Carson Williams and family, and the community in Owenton.
  8. Been going too many years to stop now. I would look forward to meeting other fanatic high school fans from BluegrassPreps.
  9. Iverson is the quickest with the ball I have seen. John Wall and Ty Lawson are up there, too. Dwight Anderson was quick and fast, while Dicky Beal was more quick. Although I don't remember him much at UCLA, Russell Westbrook looks might fast these days.
  10. Exactly, PP92. As competitive a guy as Coach Cal is, it is not hard to see him wanting to be successful in the NBA. He failed miserably during his few years with the New Jersey Nets. He finished his tenure with an overall record of 72 wins and 112 losses, and a .391 overall winning percentage. I am sure that does not sit well with his ego and I could see him wanting to give it another try, at some point in his life.
  11. I looked up some statistics for Georgetown College this season and a couple of them really surprised me. As a team, they have taken nearly 700 three point shots and are shooting at a 40% clip. Amazing team stat! Also, Scott County alum Trent Gilbert is a perfect 38-38 from the free throw line. Great shooting by the Tigers.
  12. Exactly right! In a short time, Lovie will have the defense playing well. He must get someone he can confidently turn over the offense to in order to be successful in Champaign.
  13. Does a coach not have the opportunity to tell his players? Hearing everything on social media is the new proper way of communicating? I personally think not.
  14. They are two very good teams, but only one can advance and it will be a very capable Dunbar team. A shout out to Henry Clay senior Isaiah Tisdale. He had an outstanding career. I think he has a huge upside and was hopeful that the Blue Devils would advance deep into the Sweet Sixteen to enable this young man to get some deserved recognition from some college coaches with a scholarship left. He can play at a high level, but does not have those type of offers at this time. He would definitely be an outstanding player in the OVC, Missouri Valley, or Horizon Leagues. Maybe even a little higher level.
  15. Lovie Smith would be a great hire, but.... The way athletic director Josh Whitman handled this one (I understand the players learned of their head coaches dismissal via social media) has a lot to be desired. I really like Lovie, but he better be watching his back working for this guy. That is if he takes the job.
  16. Unfortunately, it was all the way back to 2005.
  17. I am not so sure that is an upgraded for the 'Toppers.
  18. They were bad this afternoon near Mt. Sterling. About a five mile back up in the eastbound lane of I-64, kept me from getting to an appointment in Menifee County. A semi-truck and several other vehicles involved. This was around 2 pm.
  19. I am sad to see Male out of the tournament so soon. Great year for the Bulldogs and first year Coach Willie Feldhaus. Trinity is a team to be reckoned with, if they can survive the brutal 7th region tournament.
  20. Henry Clay's season statistics, if anyone is interested. http://wlstats.net/2015-16_bkb/hc.b/hc.b.15.16.season.pdf
  21. Good list! I would move Taiveon Hollingsworth of Dunbar on the list ahead of his teammate Darius Williams. In fact, I would probably put Dunbar's Jordan Lewis ahead of Williams as well. JMO
  22. Isaiah "Pun" Tisdale is the best player I have seen this season. I haven't seen Carson Williams. Isaiah gets wherever he wants on the floor with the basketball, and sets up teammates to make baskets. He is very difficult to pressure and has about a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. He is very unselfish and has been told multiple times by his coaches to look to score more. He is very much getting looked over by some Division I schools, especially in the state of Kentucky. NKU ought to be begging him to come and run their point the next four years. Sean Woods, where are you? Western Kentucky...Ray Harper...give him the ball and let him get you off the hot seat. EKU...he is in your backyard. I really like what he brings between the lines. He is the kind of player that you really need to see more than just one time to realize how valuable he is to his team. Pun is SNEAKY great!
