All State Baseball Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 Is this from khsaa? No. KHSAA hasn't updated any brackets yet.
Getslow Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 ^ Aren't the Region 3 games still subject to change based on whether Ballard wins or loses this week?
All State Baseball Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 ^ Aren't the Region 3 games still subject to change based on whether Ballard wins or loses this week? Going over that right now.
Getslow Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 ^ Good luck. Tried it on Friday night; it gave me the same sensation as when you eat ice cream too fast.
nees1212 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Are these correct? The districts don't seem to align with the below chart. http://khsaa.org/football/playoffpairings20112014.pdf
All State Baseball Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 District 4 (Head to head points) Male (2-1) (27 pts) Trinity (2-1) (12 pts) St. X (1-2) (16 pts) Manual (1-2) (28 pts) Depending on what happens this Friday, it looks like; 1. Male 2. Trinity 3. Manual 4. St. X

Male 2. Trinity 3. Manual 4. St. X Those points only matter in a three way tiebreaker. Head to head is what matters in two-way ties. X will be #3 over Manual by virtue of the head to head win. Male #1 over Trinity by virtue of their head to head win. nees is also correct that the pairings are wrong. District 3 will play District 6 (as Region 2) and District 4 will play District 5 (as Region 3).

I thought it was like the rest of the classes. 1 vs 2, 3 vs. 4, 5 vs. 6, 7 vs. 8....Why 3 vs. 6 & 4 vs. 5?

Because they treat 6A differently. I'll let others speculate as to why, but the pairings are not the same in that class. 1 always plays 2 and 7 always plays 8 I believe, but the others vary.

NOPE. Had the powers that be set it up so that the same district faced the super district every year the wailing and gnashing of teeth would have been deafening. The super district final standings are set. Male, Trinity, X, Manual.
