Scott Co is my pick to win the entire thing in 6a

I think Scott County wins convincingly but it will be interesting to see how many points Henry Clay can put up against the SC defense.

The Blue Devils will have a hard time slowing down the Scott County offense.

Also, Henry Clay looked very sloppy offensively last night against Dunbar. Carrying the football like a loaf of bread. Fumbling. Poor decision making as to where to put the football.

The Devils are going to need their best performance of the year to play with the Cardinals in Georgetown.

Elijah Bell and Henry Clay will get his/theirs in this game. They have a lot of speed and athleticism.

But defensively, I don't think the Devils can stop the Cards on offense enough for it to make a difference.

SC just simply doesn't make mistakes, or get rattled. And then as soon as the other teams do they feast on it.

They eclipsed the 4,000 yard rushing mark last night and Clay McKee is as efficient as they come at QB for a run-heavy team: he's completed 50 passes this year and 22 of them are for TDs. He was 3-for-4 last night for 74 yards and three TDs.

Despite that, I think it will be pretty close for a bit.

But SC just has too many horses in the long run and Cards will win fifth regional title in six years.

Scott Co by 14.

Scott Co. 49-20.

A quick review of Scott County schedule revealed they have played only ONE team with a winning record this season. Henry Clay at 9-2 is the standard bearer. PLD was next at 6-6. Even the 5A opponent, North Hardin, went 1-10! Is this a schedule truly worthy of the self-proclaimed best public team in the Commonwealth of Kentucky?

The others: Lafayette 3-8, Clark County 2-9, PRP 4-7, Bryan Station 5-6, Seneca 2-9, Madison Central 2-9, Ryle 2-9!

Last season, the Cards recorded wins over 2 squads with winning records: Madison Central 7-5 & Simon Kenton 9-4. The two losses were to Highlands 14-1 and Trinity 13-1.

Sure the teams they played don't have winning records, but it's not like they are playing 20 man teams. They are still 6A teams. While the strength of schedule might hurt them in the long run, I don't think we should let it stop us from discussing them among the best in the state. They are still a great team.

The Cards are basically untested 12 games into the season. Based on the 70-34 thrashing of Henry Clay earlier this season, Scott County is a huge favorite this weekend. I believe they will have a very stern test the following week in Jefferson County, regardless of the opponent.

I would hope so. By the time you get to the final four in the state, it should be a stern test.

They are hard to guage but noone really thought they posed a serious threat to Trinity last season and they almost pulled it off.

Reality is they have beat every team they played, good or bad like they should have. No 2A and 3A opponents on their schedule. They will have to play a great game this week to beat a very good HC team. Bell and Jackson may be the best tandem in the state. Then if they win that one they can worry about who is in Louisville waiting for them. No matter what you have to show up and play. I for one hope they win it all, but we will have to wait and see.
