  1. Most definitely! Guiding Greatness: CBS Local Sports Features Coach Mike Brey's Best Lessons - Slap the Sign - A Notre Dame Fighting Irish Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.
  2. Jim Boeheim and the Orange appear to be on the verge of foiling my classy/nice guy coaches Final Four.
  3. I don't believe he will use Western Kentucky to get another job. Remember, Rick Stansbury stayed at Mississippi State for 22 years. He was the head coach 14 of those years. Starkville is not exactly a metropolis, and Bowling Green is, in comparison. Rick will be at WKU for a long while.
  4. Perry Ellis reminds me a lot of Grandville (Grandpa) Waiters of Ohio State back around 1980.
  5. Nice win by the Villanova Wildcats. Perry Ellis of Kansas had a tough night. Averaging over 17 points per game this season. He had four tonight. Jay Wright is a great coach.
  6. There is about four minutes left in the game, right now. You nailed it early in the day, Deuce! This might be one of the better match ups I have seen all year.
  7. I am not sure these officials have gotten one block/charge call correct in this game.
  8. With my Kentucky Wildcats getting knocked out of this year's NCAA tournament, I need to find a team to root for. I am having a difficult time because I like several of the teams and coaches who are still alive in the tournament. The Final Four might be made up of coaches who I view as classy men and seem to be genuinely nice guys. OKLAHOMA...Lon Kruger...his second Final Four. VILLANOVA...Jay Wright...his second Final Four? NORTH CAROLINA...Roy Williams...his ninth Final Four? VIRGINIA...Tony Bennett...his first Final Four? If Kansas beats Villanova, I would include Bill Self in the classy/nice guy coach group. If Notre Dame beats North Carolina, I think Mike Brey also qualifies in this group. If Syracuse beats Virginia ('aint gonna happen), I am hesitant to include Jim Boeheim in the group. I think he is a good coach, but a bit surly to make the classy/nice guy coach. I think I would really like to see Tony Bennett and the Virginia Cavaliers win it all. I think he might be the coach I would like to see coach/mentor my son. Go Cavs!
  9. I had no issue with Coach K saying something to the Oregon player. I don't fault Dillon Brooks for taking the shot (what else was he going to do), nor do I fault the future Hall of Fame coach from shaking the players hand and speak to the player with dignity and respect. Non-issue, in my opinion.
  10. One of those two bosses is back in 2016.
  11. These games tonight were, collectively, the least competitive Sweet Sixteen games I can recall. Winners won by 14, 14, 16, and 23. I hope Friday nights games are a little closer.
  12. If you are not now on Medicaid or if you do not qualify for a subsidy, you are almost certain to have significantly lesser insurance coverage than you had prior to the Affordable Care Act days. Oh, and.......your premiums are probably greatly increased for your lesser coverage. The exception to this would be someone who was being rated up by insurance companies due to a high cost condition, prior to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
  13. Taveion Hollingsworth will soon be picking up a lot of offers. The one offer he covets, may be the one scholarship that escapes him.....the University of Kentucky.
  14. SEC = rotten in 2015-16 I liked this Texas A & M team, but they were thumped by the Oklahoma Sooners tonight.
  15. Especially if you work for a large employer (51+ employees), you may receive more than one 1095 form. Here is the breakdown of who gets which form: Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, is provided by the Marketplace to individuals who enrolled or who have enrolled a family member in health coverage through the Marketplace. Form 1095-B, Health Coverage, is provided by insurance companies and other coverage providers. However, if your coverage was insurance purchased through the Marketplace or was a type of coverage referred to as “self-insured coverage” that was provided by an applicable large employer, you will receive a different form. Form 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage, is issued by applicable large employers to their full-time employees and, in some cases, to other employees. As a precautionary measure, you may receive a 1095 form from a large employer, even if you waive your right to the company sponsored group insurance. If you do waive, you should get a 1095 form from the source where you are covered. If you were not covered in 2015, you will be fined as part of your tax refund/bill.
  16. I agree that Jackson Davis desires to be a successful player on the D-I level.
  17. Great showing so far by the ACC. SEC = ROTTEN (basketball)
  18. He is a volleyball player. That must be his passion.
  19. I am inclined to pull for the Lexington team, since a Lexington school has not won since the back-to-back championships (Lafayette and Lexington Catholic) in 2001-2002. However, I really feel that Doss has a great chance this afternoon. Doss runs a lot of similar interchangeable type players at you, and play with great purpose and passion. The Bulldogs better be on their game to win it.
  20. I agree with you on how difficult it is to win the NCAA basketball tournament, as it is in today's format. I have always taken exception to UK fans who discount the accomplishments of John Wooden and the UCLA Bruins. The man won 10 titles in twelve years, including seven in a row. It is easily the most unprecedented dominance in team sports. Yet, every discussion of UCLA's success in college basketball, with most UK fans, is underscored with some reference to Sam Gilbert. John Wooden was arguably the greatest coach of all time.....any sport. By the way, from birth I have been the biggest UK fan. The difference in me and most UK fans is I have been able to give proper credit to the amazing accomplishments of John Wooden and the UCLA Bruins. What they did from 1964 to 1975, as The Professor says above, will never be equaled.
  21. Ben Weyer is a man! Nice job by Newport Catholic. All of their players seem to have a very good understanding of their role in contributing to their basketball team. Ronnie Dawn has coached the 'Breds up well.
