Ballard 77 Male 53

Featured Replies

Ballard - Martin 21, Snider 18 & 6 Assists, Robinson 14

Male - Scott 20, Parker 15 & 11 Rebounds

After delivering a strong body blow in the first quarter, the Ballard High School boys’ basketball team saved its knockout punch for the third.

The Bruins jumped to a 22-2 lead, saw Male pull within two points early in the third quarter and then put the game away with a 20-2 run in a 77-53 victory in a Seventh Region Tournament semifinal on Sunday at Valley.

Thought this game might be a little closer. Guess Male dug too big of a hole in the first Q.

It might be a little premature, but if the Ballard Bruins win the 7th region final versus Trinity, I see them rolling through the rest of the state on their way to the title.

I don't think this Trinity game will be their toughest game yet. Probably a little premature considering they have to go through the 2nd Region (Hoptown) and 11th Region to get there. Both those games will be very tough, especially the Hoptown game. But if a team can do it, its Ballard.
