  1. Nevermind....I was a week early
  2. East Ridge coach. Can't believe this. What a horrible situation this has put the school and the players in.
  3. Cites personal reasons. Had some momentum going at the school for once. I know you have to do what's best for you and your family but poor ER can't catch a break. It's very late in the year to try and find a coach at this juncture. I hope Eric Ratliff gets the job but I heard thru the grapevine that he has already moved to an assistants job at Shelby Valley.
  4. For one thing, a team with an 0-10 record doesn't deserve an opportunity in the playoffs. The grind is about showing success throughout the season, not just the playoffs. That playoff system would be horribly unorganized and what would it prove if for example a team like Desales beat Trimble County 65-0? That's not only demeaning to the kids but a complete waste of time.
  5. Newport has not come within a 20 point deficit against NCC since 2009, in my belief NCC puts a beating on Newport.
  6. Carroll Counties Josh Gibbs committed to EKU
  7. Carroll County is looking to have a big year in the upcoming season. Considering District 5 is up for grabs this year, it will big year for all teams in the area. Carroll County lost many seniors that were anchors to the program like Sr. RB/DB Blake Newby, Sr. C/MLB Matt Bartley, Sr. WR/DB Jacob Wise, Sr. FB/LB Keifer McIntyre, Sr. QB John Michael Adams, Sr. RT/DT Josh Gibbs, etc. The Panthers have upcoming Junior RB/LB Kyle Prosser returning after beginning a monstrous Sophomore year but unfortunately tearing his ACL in the 4th game of the season, Prosser is back and healthy. They also have Isaiah Hogan returning to take the reigns at the QB position, he has shown major improvements over the past year. Returning JR. Cam Rose will also be returning at the RB position with Prosser. At the O-Line positions, Ramsey Gordon will be returning at LG as a senior, Logan Taylor will also be returning at RG as a senior, and the beast Caleb Guenthner at LT will be returning as a senior. Things are looking up for this program and I am very excited to see how this year plays out for the Panthers. Go Carroll!
  8. Geographically Carroll Co. is in NKY, I meant to list him as a LT/DE. QUOTE=75center;5022177]1) How does an offensive lineman have a record breaking year? and 2) CC is not NKY
  9. Carroll Counties Left Tackle Caleb Guenthner will be returning as a senior after having a record breaking Junior Year.
  10. Bill Benedett, passed away Friday morning at his home. He was 92 years old. He coached at Belfry in 1948-1949 and also coached at Elkhorn City for a few years. He was my uncle and loved all sports, especially high school football and all UK sports until the day he died. He will be greatly missed.
  11. Collins 2013-2014
  12. This district is all over the place, Austin Crowell (starting point guard) sat out last night due to a knee injury and he is key in their success. John Michael Adams, starting 3 guard for the Panthers also didn't receive many minutes. Shots weren't falling while Owen Counties were. Just a bad night for the Panthers in general. Crowell and Adams will be ready for district tournament play, congratulations to Owen County.
  13. Carroll knocks off the Rebels for the 8th Region All A title. Play Cordia in the first round.
