  1. Too close to pick. I have seen both teams play other opponents. Both have about the same caliber of offense. Leslie could be a little ahead in the running game with Howard. Defense will win this game. It won't be the offense.
  2. Anybody that gets on here and states that Rock will destroy Bell is out of their mind. It will be a tough game for both teams in my opinion. Bell is sure to win the kicking game. That is not even a close one to call. Rock plays tough defense and must keep the score down and hopefully win the battle of the trenches. I believe it will be a game too close to call. I know that turnovers, penalties, and breaks will play a big factor in the game. The game is at the Rock and that is one advantage for them.
  3. Clay will pick them apart. Perry will score 3 times on the run but not enough to win. Clay Co 35 Perry Central 20
  4. Anything on happen on Friday night. The best team does not always win. It is the team that is best prepared and ready to play.
  5. Worse field conditions I have ever seen in many years. I wonder what really caused it. I know there has been some rain, but this was really bad. Congratulations to the ROCK on a very big win. The running game was awsome behind the offensive line. Credit also goes to the blocking backs for their blocks on LB's and DE's. It was Miller time for the ROCK. Way to go Dusty Miller for your 277 yds rushing that tied Marty Reagan for a single game. Shawn Childress had an outstanding game on both sides of the ball. Didn't know he was a RB. Must a been a new wrinkle in the offense. Get the ball in the hands of the athletes.
  6. Clay Co was #10 in the AP poll today. Rock was #12. Rock is the underdog in this game. Not too many times does the Rock go into the game as underdogs. I know for a fact the Rock is fired up for this game. It should be a good one.
  7. According to a Clay County program Clay has only 19 freshmen listed. HMMM.
  8. Rock will be focused and well prepared. It will not be easy and they know it. The score quoted above will not be close. A tight game throughout. Rock better take their "A" game on Friday.
  9. It was a freshmen game, not a JV game. Clay had 29 on the sidelines so they must really be looking good for the furture with 29 freshmen, someone said that bunch went 34-0 together. Taht is an accomplishment to keep that many kids together for that long.
  10. Me niether, but Coach Gay will turn the program in the right direction. From what I hear, McCreary is starting about 4 freshman.
  11. The season is early. Let's see how it turns out. Improvements need to be made but I am sure Rock will be there when it counts in Nov. 21 straight winning seasons is nothing to laught about. I am sure a lot of teams would be glad to have it. Potential is with this team. Wait and see!
  12. Clay Co has a very good freshman team. The 8th grade was loaded last year and beat the Rock 8th twice. I wouldn't hardley call the game an upset. However, if the TB from Rock had not been tossed from the game early in the 3rd quarter it could have been different. He did wrong by retaliating to a Clay CO player punching at him while on the ground and he had to pay for it. Clay Co has things going for them. Coach Stepp is building a good program with good things to happen in the future. ON the other hand, Rock has a very good freshman team and also have a bright future. A loss is not the worse thing to happen if you play hard and learn from it. That is what freshman ball is all about. Learn the game and play hard. If you lose you need to hate it so bad you cry. GO ROCK.
  13. Rock has a couple of good players out due to injuries.
  14. I was told today that the Lincoln Co QB will not play on Friday because of a concussion he received late in the game against Rockcastle Co. The hit occurred late and he finished the game. It happened in a couple of series before the game ended.
  15. Several JV players are playing varsity and will not play in this game.
  16. Predictions mean nothing. Wait till it is over. That is what counts.
  17. you are exactly right. Bell will have the advantage in the kicking game.
  18. Another stat. 3 TD's for each team. The kicking game on PAT's were the differerence. Nothing to brag about for either team. I guess the score stands though.
  19. Congratulations to the Hounds for finally winning a game against a weak 1A team.
  20. He didn't make it last year either, but that is in the past. This is 2006 season.
  21. Would love to be there to help honor Coach Brugh. He is a legend if there ever was one in HS football in KY. Met him in the early 90's at football camp and remember when he broke the all time winning record.
  22. I hear that Harrison Co has a few new players on the team that were held out of the first game. Harrison Co has a very talented team. Don't see Rock blowing them away by no means. Rock better get their offense in gear this week. Defense is great and should keep Rock in the game.
  23. Okdham Co has a pretty solid team. A great QB and fast RB's. They have a lot of team speed and solid lineman. They will get after you. They dress 80 players. Well coached I must add.
