McCreary Central returns home after two weeks of road games. They came off the two-week home hiatus with a 1-1 record with a win over Berea and a loss to Knox Central. This week, McCreary will have their annual football homecoming and play a struggling Jackson County.

What are the predictions?

I think McCreary might be distracted a little by the homecoming, or maybe they'll use it for motivation, either way McCreary in the end.

McCreary Central: 32

Jackson County: 12

McCreary Central 34-18.

McCreary Central reminded me of where Knox Central was four years ago. They had the size, the athletes, and the look but made a lot of mistakes and then got their heads down afterward. Playing teams such as Berea and Jackson are just what the doctor ordered--confidence builders.

McCreary 40

Jackson 6

How Has Jackson's season Gone I honestly Hope they get things off to a great start those Kids need the game of football.

McCreary by alot

McCreary by alot

Never thought id ever hear that

Never thought id ever hear that

Me niether, but Coach Gay will turn the program in the right direction. From what I hear, McCreary is starting about 4 freshman.

Best of luck to McCreary. MCHS by 18.

its tough playing a first year varsity schedule and not have anything from the past to build on. Todd Harris will do a wonderful continuing to do the right thing at Jackson, and who knows they may pull out a victory or two this season. Its sad to say that McCreary is the favorite, but i'm going to go with them by 14

For a first year program with absolutely no history in the game of football, I think Jackson County has done fairly well. They got a big win over Hancock County (Tennessee), which is fielding a new program. They scored twenty points on the road at South Floyd, as well.

After tonight's game at McCreary, which is probably not going to be a win, Jackson has two games with first year programs (Clinton County & Gallatin County), sandwiching a game with Trimble County. They finish with a very poor Evangel Christian squad. This is a perfect schedule for a young team. I know they are slated to play in a Class 3A district next season, but I think they would benefit from playing an independent schedule again the next two seasons.

Also, keep in mind that Jackson has (and will) played every game on the road this season. Is there any chance they have a home field next season?
