3A AP Poll out!
You can't compare a scrimmage game to a real game. Remember, 10 min quarters were played in the scrimmage and JV played the 4th quarter. Plus the clock ran the entire 3rd Quarter except for last 2 minutes. No kicking game also can make a difference. Seems to me that Rock scored about 30 points in that scrimmage with NL.

Rockcastle and Bourbon
It may not be as bad as everyone thinks. If the Rock doesn't get the offense in gear, they may not score as many points as everyone predicts.

Rockcastle County 2 Corbin 0
A WIN is a WIN. Don't forget that Statman

Rockcastle County 2 Corbin 0
Rock needs to improve the offense. The D played great. The offense will get better, believe me. After losing the 3 year QB Burkhart and the TB Stallsworth on the offense, Rock took a big loss, but the offense will get better. Don't count the Rock out. A tail kicking by Danville last year, the Rock was not considered a playoff contender. But the trip to the semi-finals proved people wrong.

Rockcastle County 2 Corbin 0
A lot of arm chair QB's on this web site. Dusty is a good player, but the sophomore TB, Cody Mize brings a lot of fresh legs, speed, and natural running ability to the game. The best drive that Rock had was when all the starters except the QB and 2 lineman left the game. This was probably the best move of the night. Gave the D rest to come back in fresh and put the game away.

Rockcastle County vs. Corbin....Week 1
I will not predict a score or a winner, but will only say that the win could go to either team. Aug 19 is a long way down the road. Anything can happen to either team by then. Hopefully, neither team will suffer an injury to any player that will result in them not playing, but if that is the case it could have a great bearing. Rock lsot 6 players due to injuries last year. Corbin lost their QB for the first few games. Hopefully both teams will enter the game with full force and may the best team WIN.

Class 3A, Region 4 Poll
This will be one of the most competitive Regions in the state. Rockcastle Co does not have a lock on the Region. Bell Co., Clay Co., Ashland, Johnson Central, and Mason Co will all return good teams that have a great chance of winning the Region.

Looking for information on a transfer into Southwestern?
Also heard he was interstested in Rockcastle Co because of the great football program there. The drive from there to Mancanster would not be as far as Pulaski Co. There is a great swim team there too.

Who do you think will have the passing team this summer?
What does it matter? The great passing teams don't always have the best teams when it counts during the season.

Full Pads Practice in June??
I agree. What is the purpose? Talking about burnout?
-
Full Pads Practice in June??
Never heard that rule before. I know you can attend college camps that are full pads, but never heard of a rule that permits a high school team to practice before July 15 with anything but helmet and shoulder pads.

North/South All Star Game
Best of my knowledge only. South teams include Somerset, Southwestern, Pulaski Co., Rockcastle Co, Casy Co, Russell Co, Lincoln Co. Berea, Madison Central, Madison Southern, and Garrared Co. North includes Danville, Boyle Co, Harrison Co, Clark Co, East and West Jessamine, and about 4 others, Cant remember.

T.R. Christopher to Corbin??
Don't ever doubt it, Bell Co will still be in good shape and will still be a favorite over Rockcaxtle Co

North/South All Star Game
Pulaski Co coach, John Hines will coach the South.

2006 KY Allstar Roster
I wish everybody on here that has posted had the opportunity to select this all star team, then, most of them would not have so much to say. 8 players and 2 QB's are voted on by coaches. The committee selects the rest. The next 20 are easy to pick. It is the next 14 that is tough because of the close calls between so many good players. There is also an alternate selection of players for each position. There will be 3-4 not show up for some reason. Several of the players mentioned on this thread could possibly be an alternate and still be selected. For example, will Burbage be allowed to play? If not, an alternate will be selected in his place.

Is Clyde Burchette helping Corbin in the weight room? I didn't realize he was still coaching at Corbin.
