  1. Leslie Co. has had an excellent spring football. I don't know where some of these guys were last year, but there are some monsters on the field down there. I was watching the o-line one day and there were at least 6 guys over 6'3 and they were getting with it. Strong, aggressive type linemen. Coach Asher and Coach Rice over there are getting them into shape. There won't be any letdowns like last year, thats a fact. Also, Jordan Morgan will put up some big time numbers at RB. The rest of the skilled position guys that contribute all play baseball and do not attend spring practice.
  2. Corbin's got a tough road ahead if they want to dominate. I think Corbin loses 1 maybe 2 games in the district next year. Depends on where they play Middlesboro. It was a shootout last year at Middlesboro, and they return some big time athletes. If they can find a QB, they'll be a tough out once again. And Lelsie Co. has one of the toughest D-fenses around. They gave up an avg. 13 points per game after spending three quarters of the game on the field due to a mediocre offense. I think both of these teams will give Corbin a run for their money in the district this year. I think this will be one of the most competitive districts in the state in any class.
  3. Yes. You purchase a season pass. But It costs less than getting into one of the clinics. Its glaziercliniconline.com I think.
  4. The Glazier clinic on-line is where it's at. You can watch anything you want to watch when you want to watch it from the comfort of you own home or coaches office. The videos are on a rotating schedule. Every facet of the game is covered multiple times by multiple videos.
  5. They've got four catchers on scholarship there. He'll probably end up playing if not this year, next year for sure.
  6. Leslie Co. Middle Linebacker Timmy Baker will be signing to play football at Morehead St. University at 1:00 in the Leslie Co. High School Library. Congratulations to an outstanding football player, a great leader, and more so, a fine young man.
  7. Timmy Baker is going to sign with Morehead St. next Thurs. Brian Hubbard is visiting Kentucky Christian this Sat. Cumberland already has an offer on the table that will let him go to school for almost nothing. Also, Cambellsville called last week wanting Brian badly, but don't know how much money was involved. Looks like Cumberland unless KCU shows something good this weekend.
  8. Gay didn't score alot, but did have 10 blocked shots. Can't remember how many points they said, might have been in single digits. Also, Ryan Howard went 0 for 11 from the 3 point line. Good thing he signed to play football for Pikeville today. Maybe that will take a little of the pressure off and let him relax and just play. This young man has a hard time, I'll just leave it at that.
  9. Ryan Howard of Leslie Co. signed to play at Pikeville today at 1:00 at the Leslie Co. High School Library. Congratulations to Ryan!!!!!
  10. Mike Whitaker was at Powell Co. on the 27th. He was shown the facilities, the town, and met with the team. He also was at the Hazard/Powell game last night. Putting two and two together, it looks like they may be on their way to finding a coach.
  11. Heard through the grapevine that he's been in contact with PC and has an interview. Can't understand Powell Co., though. Not much to work with there. Plus , there can't be too much money involved. I think they draw more crowds at baseball games than at football games.
  12. He'll be a senior next year. He's not big at all. 5'8 170. Starts OLB and RB. He gets good air, not great. He seemed to get the roll everytime last year, though. That really bumped his average up. What was really impressive is that he had 14 punts inside the 10.
  13. Heard Howard and Shannon Roberts had 2 pts. between them. 0 for 17 from the field. This coming after Hubbard, Howard, and Roberts went 3 for 22 from three point range against Buckhorn. Sounds like the defense is there, now if they can just find the bottom of the net more often.
