Leslie Co. players @Southeast Combine

Featured Replies

Leslie Co. brought 4 players to the combine.

Ryan Couch wr/cb ran a 4.92 and had a 28 vert.

Ryan Howard ran a 4.88, in terrible conditions. 1.41 10 yd. 29 vert.

Timmy Baker lb/fb ran a 4.93 40, 18 reps on bench, 4.33 shuttle, 1.43 10 yd. 27 vert.

Brian Hubbard 5'8 171 ran a 4.77 40, 16 reps, 1.22 10 yd., 30 in vert. and ran a combine best 3.93 in the shuttle.

Some of the guys at the combine chose to only run one 40 time because of time recording misshaps. Times got mixed up AFTER THEY WERE RAN when the girls were trying to record them. After the first run, they were back where they should have been. And there were some good times considering the conditions. The QB from Paintsville, Pugh, ran a 4.60. If you would have been there to see the conditions, you would see why this is a great time.

And I also know this. Rockcastle Co. has a bunch of studs, and are loaded!!!

I have seen Hubbard and Howard and they are faster than a 4.88 & 4.77 which tells me a lot about the conditions. I would guess them as in the 4.6 range. They can move!

The shuttle time of 3.93 seems beyond belief though.

Watching the 40 times at the comibne I say more than a few players that were given the wrong times. In a few heats I saw the kid who finished first did not get the fastest time of the 4 runners. I would not put a lot of stock in the 40 times. This more than likely came about becasue of the bad weather and trying to finish up in the cold rain before the sky totally opened up.

Daniel Pugh of Paintsville ran a 4.6 in th 40. With a 29" vertical leap. Not sure about his other numbers.

Rockcastle Co dominated the bench press.

Scott Daugherty 5'11 271 lb junior G/NG 40 reps

David Robbins 6'0 306 lb senior T/DT 39 reps

Brad Durham 6'5 300 lb senior T/DT 32 reps
