Final Score

Clay 14

Rock 12

Beating the Rock has turned into everyone's Super Bowl I guess. Good thing a program like the Rock has that influence on people in the mountains. Best of luck 9-29-06.

Clay Co has a very good freshman team. The 8th grade was loaded last year and beat the Rock 8th twice. I wouldn't hardley call the game an upset. However, if the TB from Rock had not been tossed from the game early in the 3rd quarter it could have been different. He did wrong by retaliating to a Clay CO player punching at him while on the ground and he had to pay for it. Clay Co has things going for them. Coach Stepp is building a good program with good things to happen in the future. ON the other hand, Rock has a very good freshman team and also have a bright future. A loss is not the worse thing to happen if you play hard and learn from it. That is what freshman ball is all about. Learn the game and play hard. If you lose you need to hate it so bad you cry. GO ROCK.

Clay's freshman team is very good. They have alot of talented players. I expect them to win alot of games this year. Good luck to the players from Clay County. Good game. maybe that might send a message to Clays varsity game comming up verses rock.

Clay did very good tonight and should keep on keepin on and gettin them W's.

Good job tigers!

Total offense for both teams.

Rock - 255

Clay - 148

Both of these teams arent to good. Besides this year we have beaten both Clay and the Rock 2 years in a row.

Somerset has not beaten the Rock at the 9th grade level this year because they haven't even played. Actually they haven't played in the last 5 years. The Rock JV beat Somerset this year though 34-12. Not sure where you are getting your info.

I'm not sure where you got your information from. These two teams played in the 8th grade conference finals last year. They both beat us (Somerset) easily in the regular season. They're both very strong teams.

I hate to see Clay Rock and Bell moved away from one another due to this Split Clay will go to 5A next season. Clay has never been able to hang with these two big boys at teh varsity level but the furure looks good for them if they can hold this bunch of freshman together.
