  1. Clay Co. had 2 recievers with over 100 yards and 2 backs with over 100 yards rushing. Zach Lewis threw for 320+ yards.
  2. Clay will win. end of story. clay co. simply has too many weapons for hazard to stop. clay by 2 TD.
  3. What do you all think it will look like this year? New districts, New match-ups? Let's Hear It.
  4. If your money is on Letcher to win over Clay County, you might as well hand over your money now. Letcher won't even beat whitley co. Letcher co. hasnt proved anything yet.
  5. Clay County was the #1 passing team in Kentucky last year with close to 4,000 yards in the air. Zach Lewis will be a junior next year, returning with 2 of the top recievers in the state.
  6. Phillip Dunn - Clay County WR, very good hands, and very athletic. He has the Ability to break a big one every time his hands touch the ball. Matt Dobbs- Clay County TE, he's a beast. Along with Dunn, he also has great hands. And a nack for making big plays.
  7. :fight: 119 more days, till season starts!!!! :ylsuper:
  8. Clay in a close one. playing in the state tourney is a different atmosphere, i hope the tigers come ready to play, and not just come into this game content just to be there.
  9. NO way. Clay will be ready to play. and can really get it done when the time comes. alot of people will be suprised, when the tigers and cards meet.
  10. yes the tigers schedule will be 15-0. thats all yall need to know.
  11. Maybe one of the fastest people i've ever seen, was clay countys James Patterson. He played QB, and ran a perfect option game. He had several hundred yard games, and a few thousand yard seasons. He signed with union.
  12. Nice win, for the Tigers, and nice for all of the younger guys to get some varsity playing time.
  13. All of clay countys seniors have quit. they are all getting jobs at the local resturants. i have family in manchester, they say the community is going crazy. they are going to rely on junior leadership, mainly jacob cheek aka (the duece):fight:
  14. i think Clay comes away with the win in this one. Clay co. is pumped up after the big win at home over bell co. that excitment should carry over into this one.
  15. Coach Bobby Keith did an awesome job at Clay co. State Champs in 1987, runners up in 85 and 88. He could take the biggest sissys in the state and make them pure ball players. He's done it many times. During the late 70's 80's and most of the 90's clay co basketball was a force to be reckoned with. :ylsuper:
  16. the tigers are small this year, but they come with alot of heart. Good luck to Coach Spurlock and the rest of the Tigers.
  17. Clay returns zach lewis, phillip dunn, matt dobbs, all VERY good players. But also lose some key players. :fight:
  18. Clay County Richie Farmer Russ Farmer Kevin Jackson 87 State Champs Russ Chadwell Eugene Rawlings All from the 87 State Championship team. Rawlings didnt start but he was very aggressive down low. This team was Awesome, and put the hurt on everybody they played!
  19. Richie Farmer IMO is the best shooter i've ever heard of. He scored 51 points in the 1988 State finals game. Clay lost to Ballard that year, the team who they had beaten the year before in the Championship game. He was almost automatic from anywhere on the floor, especially the free throw line. if you needed points he was the go to man. He had a patented spin move that no one could stop, including Allen Houston in the 1987 state championship game.
  20. Does anyone know the outcome of this scrimmage? i've not heard, just wondering.
  21. considering the Clay co. QB is only a sophmore, that aint so bad. So for once he as playing against guys his own age, instead of juniors and seniors.
  22. I think Clay co. will back on top again this year. They lost Jayme Gilbert, she is playing at Georgetown now. She was a big time player for the Tigers last season. But Clay has a few other players that can step up and play. I look forward to seeing how this region plays out. Should be interesting.
  23. The score doesn't really indicate how the game was played, clay had a bunch of chances to tie the game, they never seemed to get into the endzone, sometimes only a yard short, good game by both teams.
  24. I think if Clay's Defense shows up to play friday night, it could turn into a real game. Defense will be the decision maker in this game. :fight:
