  6. Central's defense is pretty solid, they are really big. However, NL's defense held Central to just 30 yards of offense in the 1st half, whereas NL had over 180 yards. NL ended up with over 400 yards of offense to Central's 275. Central broke off two back to back long 60 and 70 yard TD runs to open the 2nd half. Bell County 35 Madison Central 0
  7. This game used to be an annual event each year to see who went on to the Regional Championship game. The series is lopsided but Rock has had their chances to win this game in several outings only to lose it at the end of the game. 9. ^ I remember Belfry having a BIG 'B' on their helmets in the 90's I thought.
  10. Rockcastle County with the traditional script ROCK with old school white helmet. Has had it unchanged since 1991.
  11. Great idea, but not sure schools have those resources financially and/or time.
  12. Clay County's MLB and Perry County Centrals MLB are really good as well and huge specimens.
  13. A lot of the post in this thread remind me of a witch hunt. Please quit automatically assuming it is always the coaches fault, unless you were at that practice you should not be so fast to judge. Coaches are required to go to a seminar once every other year focused just on medical issues and heat related material. They are not going to sacrifice a kid and risk losing everything. Like someone else said, coaches are not medical doctors. Too much is expected of a coach from some people, I mean most teams have around a 1:15 coach/player ratio, so the coach is already disadvantaged with trying to deal with so many kids at once, they are expected to win, expected to treat and train players, expected to commit all hours year round to build a program at pennies to the hour and people get on here and automatically bash a coach. Kids were not falling down and dying in the 60's, 70's, or 80's. Because kids played outside and didn't play video games all day in the air conditioner while eating chips and drinking a case of mountain dew. However, not all the heat related issues can be blamed on the above, but it certainly doesn't help.
  14. Parents need to make sure their kid does not sit in the AC all day then go to practice. Keep and get your kid acclimated to the heat, do some outdoor activity. Blaming the coaches get old. Ram hit a lot of the situations head on.
  15. Chester Ford is the best AD never to win it IMO.
  16. That is the problem, Collinsworth didn't win it. I also thought he should've had it easily. His credentials and play warranted that award.
  17. Why does Trinity have the record for most victories then at 50?
  18. I believe you are correct, that was the only team to score on them that year.
  19. Knox Central comes to mind: LCA is probably the winner here though.
  20. Well at least we know the end of the story now for sure, it has seemed all off-season he was here, then he was not, then he was here, then he wasn't. Good Luck to him.
