  1. That is they key part, because many schools do not even have a trainer at games on the sidelines.
  2. That is your opinion. I agree they could play anywhere if good enough, but they would not excel as nicely as Mack has and not benefited as much as he has playing much weaker competition. I don't care who you are, you cannot honestly say that teams like Valpo, Youngstown St. x 2, Wright State x 2, Detroit x 2, Sienna x 2, Milwaukee x 2, Cleveland St. x 2, Green Bay x 2, Loyola and UIC compare to: Miss St., Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, LSU. Even with the SEC being down, that is a no brainer. Butler did have a good early season schedule with Ohio St., Georgetown, Minnesota, Xavier and UCLA, where they mostly took care of business. The fact that they were good enough to take it to those top ranked teams and win most of them, just helps my philosophy of thinking that they really didn't even have to bring it game in and game out every week to beat some of those teams in the Horizon League like a Green Bay twice. Believe it or not but Butler was a great team playing in a bad conference and their players, like Mack were benefited by a weaker schedule and putting up great numbers and hoisting a 25 game win streak. They got hot when they needed to and won their games by the slimmest of margins and that is all that counts.
  3. I'm not just basing it on the SEC. But no way was their schedule harder than UK's. I was also not just speaking of this years schedule. This thread was started 2 years ago, so go back and see how many minutes Mack would've got at UK versus Butler in 2008. I felt like Butler was a perfect fit for him, because at UK he would not have had the chance to lead so early.
  4. Mack is definately a talented player, however, the teams Butler played week in and week out do not compare with major D1 opponents that even the SEC plays. He was able to contribute and command the game much differently at Butler than he would've been able to at UK or UofL. Being at Butler has definately showed that with playing time he was able to develop into a fine player, something that he may not have been able to do at UK, etc.
  5. He looks really beaten down.
  6. It wasn't there in 1997 for sure and I don't believe 1998 either. 1999 sounds about right.
  7. 3 seconds of WVU mimmicking the John Wall dance was enough to make me:puke:
  8. It is odd if you think about it compared to other sports, however, I think it would be just as odd if they weren't wearing one.
  9. Oooops. :sssh: I meant duck...:isurrender:
  10. We are in major trouble. Basically a year off of playing against an opponent due to his limited playing time this year and the fact that when he did get in he looked like a dick out of water and was fumbling around on his feet.
  11. Because of playing time?:irked::idunno:
  12. That is odd because at the beginning of the season I thought Orton was the most leveled headed kid coming in. His interviews were well spoken and he seemed to be fine knowing he would be here 2-3 years.
  13. Yes. Other deserve it to, but just because they Delk, etc aren't hung doesn't mean Patterson doesn't deserve it either. He does deserve it.
  14. I'm really afraid we aren't going to have another batch of kids like this (character wise) for a long time. It is so hard to have 17 year old kids be as level headed as they have been.
  15. :thumb: You are right. It is not debatable. UK is dead last on this list. WOW, we are in a drought at UK.:sssh:
  16. I shouldn't have voted yet, I suppose. It is hard to know stats for all those teams. I can never remember who the last years winner was the following year. Maybe someone can post Kansas and Dukes #'s so we can see the difference.
  17. Some stats as I find them. UK's record 645-202. 1987 -1989 were real rough for the Cats. They were not a #1 for almost 7 years until this year, I'm sure Duke, Kansas and UNC are a lot better off in this category.
  18. UK Their probation hurt them a bit in this one though. 3 straight appearences in the Championship Game winning 2 and losing 1 by a Derek Anderson helped greatly. Numerous #1 seeds and sweet 16's. Consitent and stable coaches until just recently with the departure of Tubby. UNC would be 2nd Duke Kansas
  19. I agree, I feel BCG paid more attention to it. Just by reading both coaches media releases in regards to practice.
  20. So was Patterson last year. I agree though, Jodie being a pure shooter shouldn't have lost his shot at the FT line.
  21. Patterson may come back and set the All Time Scoring and Rebounding Records for UK. He would have to average 16 ppg and 8 rpg to break Dan Issell's two marks.
  22. I think Meeks would've brought #8 to UK. Cousins would've dropped some but not much. Dodson would not have been on the team IMO had Meeks stayed and Bledsoe wouldn't be in discussion for a 1 and doner, due to limited playing time. Patterson would've still been a factor. Miller would've lost some minutes but contributed defensively. Bledsoe, Milller and Dodson were the beneficiaries of Meeks leaving.
  23. I agree, they ripped Chad to the point of tears, however, only scolded Kate and she was stiff and messed up throughout.
  24. I bought all of mine their tuxedo's.
