When was the last time Bell County lost to a team from Harlan County?

First 10-0 season for the Jumpers in nearly 25 years and only one of 5 Jumper teams to do it.

HC #1 LCC #2 WC #3 Harlan County would have around 18 points with the over Bell County and Letcher County Central would have around 15, Whitley County would have about 8.

I agree that teams can get better, however, that is not what 1st and Goal is saying, he is completely dismissing the fact that NL won head to head over both #1 and #3 seeds in district 7. Rather he is basing it on how we played against another team that played another team. Everyone knows you cannot base high school football on that logic, it is about matchups. If people do not believe that then there is always a scenario where Betsy Lane should be favored over Trinity.

Please...:lol: Besides I wouldn't argue but NL only lost the 2 district games by an extra point and a missed PAT in 10 quarters of play. Oh and by the way NL beat PC and SL head to head, have I already said that?

Yeah it is points for out of district beaten opponents; for example if Harlan County beats Bell County, they will get 8 points since Bell County has/will have 8 wins. It is very strange to say but the district championship may be played at Log Mountain with a 4A school to decide the 5A playoffs. This district is just crazy tough.

I agree. What is this PC's first district championship ever? SWP was not supposed to be any good this year, they have the best shot at getting to round 2 in the playoffs than anyone is else in the district at this point.

It wasn't like PC destroyed SWP, it was a 10 point game. I'll take head to head victory since NL already beat Pulaski County and immediatley spoiled thier perfect season they thought they were going to have this year, but then again there was also Barren County.

But Harlan County only beat North Laurel in 2OT's and North Laurel beat Pulaski County. Bottom line is that you cannot judge teams based on common opponents because in high school it is about head to head matchups, some teams just match up better against differing teams. As for Harlan County, they are not the same team that SWP played in week two, for starters it was HC's 1st game and SWP's 2nd. SWP dominated on big plays for the win and lastly the lineup for Harlan County is completely different offensively and defensively. I feel a sweep will be almost certain. North Laurel will likely be 6-4 or 5-5 and not make the playoffs having beat 5 playoff teams and playing a schedule with 8 teams with a winning record. The upsetting thing for North Laurel this season is they have lost 3 district games and two of them by a combined 7 points. North Laurel has played 4 bad quarters this season both 3rd and 4th quarters in the Corbin and Whitley County games, other than that they have taken care of business and cannot make the playoffs, it is a very tough district.

Manuel at 3-5 and that high is also wierd to see.

How have they been beat then, because the LHL had him saying Amis should be Mr. Football. Having the best LB and the best player in Kentucky is amazing. Harlan County and North Laurel both did what it takes to completely shut down their high powered offense only give up 14 points each. Harlan County got it done just a little more offensively though.

If it is a 3 way tie, then HC would be #3 I believe. The two Virginia schools they beat have two more regular season games left after the seeding is complete in Kentucky because their season extends longer, thus leaving a potential 4 points off the table. If HC beat Bell County that would give them roughly 12-14 points and would more than likely finish 1st.

The Bears will have a really tough game with Clay County next week, it will be their senior night and they always play a lot better at home. These teams in this district never really get an off week, I know the Bears can win but this game is almost a trap game if the kids think Clay County isn't any better than their 0-4 district record. I think the Bears may have turned the corner, with these wins and I it still amazes me that people thought they wouldn't win another game after the Powell Valley win. Congrats again Blackbears!

14-13 at the half and that was after WC scooped up a NL fumble and went in for the tie seconds before the half. The field was an absolute mess before the game even started.
