Oregon and Iowa are succussful but a different kind of successful. They don't sniff the competition week in week out that these other perrenial powers do and they also have sub par seasons more frequently. Not sure how much spring football has to do with D1 signings and I'd venture to say none, however, it is a plus to football programs to allow their players an extra 30 practices over the span of 3 years to find the right position for them and possibly allow them to progress at that position s the year goes on, instead of just finding a place for them in July. Remember this is just D1 signings, so it is possible that spring ball accelerates some scholarships but to limit it to D1, I'd say it doesn't have much effect.

It would likely be a great rivalry week in Round 2 of the North vs. South matchup, if that happened. I'd say Southwestern is a real possibilty as well and Coach A always has a great squad, very disciplined bunch.

I'd say at this point that is a goal of the Jaguars considering they haven't made the playoffs since 2004 I believe. They've never won a playoff game. That should be their second goal I'm sure once they've reached the playoffs.

I thinks this game will be a stepping stone for an OT change one day but the real head scratcher will occur when Team A get the ball first has a 3rd and long on their own side of the field and throw a bomb only to see a pass interference called and move the ball to the spot of the foul, therefore, giving Team A a FG opportunity to win the game when they realistically were stopped on 3 downs inside their own territory. A game like that where the NFL's rules don't mesh well with their OT will get things in motion.

I hate NFL OT. I'd rather see opposing kickers stand at each end of the endzone and sprint a 100 yard dash for the win than to see the team who wins a coin toss kick a FG and win. Either end sudden death or make it where only a TD can win the game or give both teams a chance at the end.

Like MT said, his teammates lost the ball many more times this game and that IMHO lost the game. A QB sometimes has to force things at the end to win games because their teammates have been disappointing. Farve threw many less INT this year than he has in his recent past career and was up for the MVP. The guy can play and should be an inspiritation to any football fan, I still cannot figure why so many people want to throw him under the bus and see him retire.

Are you serious? You must work the paper in Somerset because there are as many lies in this statement as there were in the article. NL had NO film of PC practice. Pulaski County was LIVE in person coaches and all at NL scrimmages. PC no longer has a ball in the court, it is OVER. There is no game between the two teams, please MOVE ON. There has to be NO MUTUAL AGREEMENT, if you really believe that then I've got some beach front property with a great view of the ocean for you to buy, it is located just about 10 miles outside of Somerset. Beat a Regional Champion Beat a #1 seed in 5A Beat a #2 seed in 4A Beat a #3 seed in 5A NL scored more points this year than the previous 6 years. NL gave up less points this year than the previous 5 years. (Almost 100 less than last season) NL's JV went undefeated NL is not just a flash in a pan, they will progressively get better and better each year. Whatever AXE you have to grind at Larkey and NL, take it somewhere else because you have a serious problem of letting things go. The article left a lot to be desired, such as not mentioned that the contract was discussed about not being renewed last season and I guess if NL really wanted to throw PC under the bus then they would've sent them a check in July and said find a game now. There are plenty of teams wanting a game in week 0 and 10 right now, but in July there wouldn't have been any.
