I agree, they may not be suited for the #2 spot right now but IMO still ahead of Corbin no matter the ranking. I meant that Danville had been beaten by more than 5 touchdowns in their 2 losses and haven't really competed in either of them, regardless of the score.

Partially the reason, along with the fact that several kids may have to be playing varsity that would normally be playing freshmen or JV, coaches cannot pre-determine who has to step up and play.

Corbin has played 1A Harlan Ind. and a very down Danville team that was beaten by more than 5 touchdowns in week one. They haven't proven themselves yet. Whitley County had Lexington Catholic down 19 in the 4th quarter and has a solid team returning from last season, Corbin lost a lot from last year. Whitley County is the clear favorite at this point over Corbin.

Some teams may just not have the players to play, it is a numbers game and if you can't take 11 to the game you don't have enough to play.

Actually HATZ was correct, Rockcastle does own Bell County in the playoffs. Rockcastle County has beaten them 4 times in the playoffs, three times for the regional championship. Bell County has beaten Rock twice in the playoffs. The overall record is 16-9 in Bell County's favor.

What has Clay County done to make you feel that way, not being sarcastic, just curious because it has been hard to get a feel for Clay County this year due to their change in offense and their schedule.

These 4 teams have over 20 State Championships, pretty nice lineup.

It is a rule, each team had an additional 3 minutes after the halftime clock expires, 15 minutes for regular game and 20 minutes for special occasions; Homecoming, Bowl, etc. The team doesn't even have to be on the field then either, they just have to be lined up when the additional 3 minutes expires in Kickoff or Return formation.

Graduating 11 starters on both sides has evidently shown this season for Estill County. It is the Jimmy's and Joe's, not the X's and O's.

If he is in any kind of shape, but I doubt he has been conditioning this entire time off. Maybe a few more weeks to get back and acclimated but just a few days would be a stretch to expect him to just power down the field.
