Some x fans think size is everything. Others think SPEED is more important. I think we'll be OK by the time it's all said and done.

Next year should be interesting. Beside the 3 district games, I'd be surprised if we have more than 2 other Jefferson County teams that will play us. That will really open things up for some serious football teams.

Thanks for mentioning Petrino and the 4A State Champions Trinity Rocks in this thread. Every time I think of the way Petrino made x's lineman look in the game, it brings a smile to my face. :jump: Just keep on saying "Last Game" and everything will be ok. :flame:

I think until X loses, they should be #1. They have a unreal talent in Vic, and another great runner in Deuce. The OL is big and athletic. THIS could be x's finest offense ever. The D is strong. Strong enough to stop the run and defend the pass as evident tonight. I could see less than 8 TD's given up by the D all season. This may be the one Glaser goes out on...

My only problem is that it's not earned, but rather given. The only time you are truly #1 is after the final.

My thoughts on your comments... First, you seem so hateful towards Trinity. Why? Let it go. Take a deep breath and think "last game". There, now you should feel better. :jump: Second - I don't think the Trinity district is as weak as you are trying to portray. Both Ballard and Eastern have had tremendous teams in the past, and will again. In fact Eastern seems to have a very nice team coming back this year. Ballard is always a tough contender. Male is out of your district. Butler, PRP, and Manual have only recently reemerged from mediocrity. And they may be headed that way again. I’d give the nod to X’s district, but not by much. Finally, are you trying to use this as an excuse? Trinity's 16 titles, 4 out of the last 5 titles, X's loss last year? Tougher competition makes a team better, not worse. X should win every title, but does not. Maybe “last game” will help.

It was actually 4 TDs (or was it 3?) to 1 after 2 1/2 quarters. The JV defense was put in to wrap up the remaining time. Given that St. X has the most speed they have ever had, I stand by my 7 to 1 comment. And I believe this will be Lex Cath's first real game. X should roll. If not, then maybe the Rocks are ahead of X right now, but I doubt it. I mean no disrespect to Lex Cath. IMHO they are down this year. They are a good 3A school, but they should not be able to keep it close against a mighty x team that is focused AND playing at home. I mean playing at Manual. You know what I mean.

This will be a blow out. 7 TDs to 1.

Can a defender ever "block below the waist"? For example: on PAT a defender lines up outside the "TE" and crashes down into the outside leg/knee of the said TE while the TE is blocking a defender lined up over him. It seems dangerous to allow the defender a free shot at the leg/knee of the TE. Thanks.
