  1. Henry Clay was stacked this past year. If they could not do it...
  2. I find it interesting that hard work, coaching, and community support can be the accepted answers for such domination for a public school, but not for a private school.
  3. In all seriousness, I heard Bobby can no longer get any kid he wants, so he will be leaving when another "traditional" program is started. How long has it been since they played in December? Bobby's lack of entrance requirements control could explain a few things. Can we stop calling it the Big 3 now?
  4. I will lighten up when I no longer have to fight for what I believe in. I guess it's the Trinity in me coming out.
  5. Most schools do it. I guess you choose not too. The real question should be, why do you not give your kids every opportunity to improve? Do you not want to put in the effort? Just asking.
  6. Interesting how a public school supporter takes that angle. So I guess all public school supporters encourage fraudulent behavior. BTW - I'd like to see the schedule when every public high school is going to receive $300K for a new football field. Sorry, I meant a community center. What a joke.
  7. But it's not just their prerogative. How did the reps that voted to give them the funds see it? I'm guessing they thought it was for a "Community Center" using the most traditional definition possible (ie a building), not a football stadium for a high school. Let’s be honest, this is not a community center. IMHO, this is a fraud committed against the state tax payers. I expect F’dale will not see much in the way of perks from the state for a long time because of it.
  8. As long as the people voting to give the funds to Apollo know it is for a gym, so be it.
  9. If the State Legi knew it was for a new football stadium, good for them. If the State Rep snuck it past by calling it a community center, I would call that a fraud. Many high school fields are used by youth league’s all across the state. I’m sure they would like their $300K also.
  10. “The new complex, which will replace an old football stadium, was called a community center in the state legislation.” I don't think the other state reps would have voted in favor had it been described as a football stadium for Fairdale HS. Now every other public HS in the state should be able to receive $300,000 in state funding.
  11. Since Male won't play the frosh, I doubt they will paly the varsity.
  12. So if a school is small, but they are good, they are forced to play up. This is getting better by the second. What a joke.
  13. I wonder just how many more teams out in the state, or Jeff County for that matter, would play the Rocks. I bet not many, given the “boycott” and all.
  14. Wow. After Glaser saying last year was the best, now this year will be the best.
  15. I guess those new KHSAA "leveling the playing field" rules have been enacted for next year after all.
  16. According to a JEFFERSON COUNTY public school coach I met, yes. He said they cannot push their kids as hard because they would just quit. I KNOW it is not that way out in the state, but in Jefferson County, they have to do everything they can just to get kids out.
  17. No, you don't think... Why that would be... down right...
  18. One good thing that could come from this is X could no longer complain about how easy T has it in the playoffs. LOL!
  19. It used to be City (Louisville) vs State at Large title game. Early eighties it was changed because it the State at Large teams did not like that it guaranteed a Louisville team in the finals. It ALSO guaranteed a non-Louisville team in the finals. LOL!!!! Maybe those same folks would like to go back to the old method now.
  20. The ONLY reason mentioned to move X and T around is due their success.
  21. Will the KHSAA change the playoffs for Boyle, Highlands, Danville, Beechwood? If they are going to do it for X and T, why not these schools? The KHSAA will need to force Boyle and Highlands and Danville and Beechwood to play just as early in the playoffs as X and T. These schools have dominated to the same or great extent as X and T. If the KHSAA does this for X and T, I think there will be grounds for another lawsuit if they don't to other schools that have done just as well.
  22. That’s right. St. X has the best players. They will dominate every team. They will win all the titles. Trinity will have to settle for second (if we are lucky) best. Trinity has no hope for the future. The lights are dim in our second class hand me down stadium. It was a fluke that Trinity won the title last year. We are satisfied with that. We accept your gift. Actually, we thank you for all 16 gifts you have been gracious enough to give us in our paltry history. St. X on the other hand has everything they have ever needed and then some. All the talent. The best coaches. The best stadium. The best students. You name it. Now it is your turn to dominate. St. X has the best football program in Kentucky. All you have to do is show up and win. We’re with you! Love, Little Brother
