I'll make sure to clear my schedule for the 1st. I don't expect Manual to come out on top, but it'll be a good measuring stick, I think.

I wonder how good our district will be this year. I know OCHS had some talented freshmen last year, but how well will they transition to the varsity level and how will the team continue to do under Coach Oldham's system?

That kind of talk will get you banished from "Crimson Country"

Do not assume as you know what they say! Anyway, on the Rocks' schedule, It looks like a virtual cakewalk with one or two exceptions. I guess we can get the state rings and trophies ordered early, huh?

................................... waiting for the replies to roll in now. It is a Sunday before noon so I guess sometime around 1:00 this ought to get some pretty interesting responses. :fight:  :madman: :thumb: For starters.

Didn't you guys learn your lesson last year. I guess you figure MBA and St.X to be the exceptions and include your Crimsons among the "virtual cakewalk", won't "that kind of talk" get YOU banished as well? Its amazing that such a lightly tested Trinity squad was able to defeat the victors of the rough and tough wild west bracket last year. I hope you are right about the rings and the trophy again this year.

I assume the Rocks is taking their open week, the first week of the year? This schedule looks better than I expected, for personal planning reasons. Go ROCKS and good luck.

p.s. Now I need to work on 8 reserve seats?

Nice looking schedule loaded early, and then as ease back into the playoffs. I don't know what I see yet....but I know that we will be peaking again in time for the playoffs our schedule has really helped us to do that recently.

I will play the contrarian, RockPride. I am not sure of the effect of schedule on playoff success in HS football. One could argue that a weak schedule permits liberal substituting, lessening the odds of injuries to key players.

The preseason predictions have yet to come out. Manual looks to be down a bit from last year. Other than X, are there any top 10 opponents on the schedule?

The thing that keeps me in the land of the Ram is that while I don't necessarily EXPECT the win, I'd be MORE than happy for it.:ylsuper:

Why is it important how many top ten teams are on the schedule? I'd really like to hear this...........

Why no big dogs from Cincy? They are playing teams from all over the country.

I think Trinity's strength of schedule may have hurt them in the 2004 season IMO. I don't think they were ready for St.X or Dixie after not having any close games except Manual early. All others were complete blow outs!

Reason 1. Trinity only has 3 non-distrtct games they can schedule.

Reason 2. They are going to play X every year regardless so that leaves them 2 games to schedule.

Reason 3. Trinity is owed return games by both Manual and MBA this year. That fills the schedule.

Understood, I just enjoy seeing them expanding their horizons; they are great, but there is so much more out there to be had.

(And the rest of the state is worried about a public/private imbalance-that is funny.)

I guess that's one way to look at it, as their district was down that year. But I think that some times, no matter how good you are, things don't go your way. I didn't ever consider it was anything other than that as to what happened to T in 2004. They were a good team, a very good team, who just didn't get the breaks those nights. They seemed to have rebounded nicely in 2005 though.:D
