  1. This is not one of those times. But enjoy anyway.
  2. Just curious as to what you think the season win/loss board is going to look like? Personnally I would love to see a little more MEAN on the team.:taz:
  3. Sorry, I meant Harlan. No one comes out of Harlan alive. November 26, 2010. And they keep the lights on.
  4. I like Ashlands Stadium. Classic and always will be I hope. However, I think one of my favorite stadiums was Hazard and not for any of the reasons everyone is posting here. I remember going to the stadium and jumping over mud holes to get to your seat on the visitors side . Natural grass with a few rough spots,(or mud HAZARDS). Everyone was so nice. It was the way football was suppose to be or use to be. Muggy night, hospitality, and by the end of the game the fog had settled in. It was one of the neatest game atmospheres I had been to in awhile. I think, however, it was a temporary setting as they were building a new stadium. What a shame. Loved the football experience that night.
  5. Field looks great. Sorry to hear that some late August painters are now out of business. It does not look like they need any late night , before the first game , painting of hash marks and end zones any more , AAAAAAHHHHHHH the good ole days. Looking forward to stoping in and catching some of the action. Go Birds
  6. Allow me to rephrase my question: what brand of artificial turf is being installed? Is it FieldTurf or someother brand? The prior brand was FieldTurf and I'm curious to know if they are going with it or some other brand.
  7. ??? Are you answering my question about the field or are you responding to someone else? Also, is the company that is doing Highlands field the same as the one replacing Newports field?
  8. I have not read through all the threads and maybe somewhere it was answered, but could someone from Highlands that is "in the know" tell me the company that is putting in the new field. Thank you in advance.
  9. Proud of the Birds and of the great season they have had. Setting the bar for Highlands Baseball in the years to come. Thank you to the team and the seniors.:clap::angrybird12:
  10. Huge congrats to the Birds. Two more games. Keep it going and bring home the hardware.:clap::thumb::angrybird12::angrybird12::angrybird12::thumb::clap::banana:
  11. Congrats to Cov. Cath. and Coach Eviston. What changes will he bring to the program?
  12. Hoge has my vote.:clap: Haven't seen alot of players in the state this year to comment on whether they are Mr. Football or not, but I have seen alot of the past Mr. Football players before they were Mr. Football and I must say Beau is every bit of Mr. Football as they were.
  13. Hoge is a smart QB. His line is clicking on all cylinders at the right time of the year. This will be one heck of a state game.:clap::clap::clap::clap:
  14. GO COLONELS! Did I just say that?:confused:
  15. Love the Bowling Green finals. They do a great job, the stadium is 100 times better than Papa Johns, hotels are the best, and the road trip makes the tailgate that much better.:thumb::angrybird12:
  16. :lol::lol: That is sooooo true.:taz::angrybird9:
  17. Really guys? Your are arguing because a NKY kid got a spectacular play replayed on a national sports station. Yes, 100's of Kentucky High School players make spectacular plays every Friday night. And yes they are rarely broadcast on a National sports station. But you should be glad the attention has been brought to the great state of Kentucky and more importantly to Kentucky High School Football rather than the Florida's or the California's or the Texas's of this great nation that regularly get the national attention. Don't shoot the messenger. Looks like in this case it was the top notch broadcast students at Highlands that sent it in. They do a great job announcing the games, shooting video for the jumbo tron and in this case sent footage to a national media . Kudos to the Highlands Broadcasting students.:ylsuper:
  18. :thumb: Send it in. I'm sure they will show it.
  19. :eek::eek::eyeonyou::irked: Say it aint SO
