Wow! Story book there. Bases loaded, 2 outs, best hitter on opposing team up with a chance, and you strike him out! Great job young Mr Doty. And huge props to Ricky Raisor and the rest of the Birds! Oh and BTW, our clan in the stands question at least a half dozen coaching decisions. lol! That's why we are in the stands. Never again JB and crew! That was an awesome game by all.

The ump delayed the strike call and I didn't think he was going to call it for a split second, it was a perfect pitch. Locked him up!

Birds flashed some leather the last two innings as well. Incredible diving grab by second baseman to get force at second base (and almost get a double play). Also a great play by the catcher on a strike out on a pitch in the dirt to come up throwing and gun down the runner at 3rd base to end the 6th inning. HUGE plays...

He had to verbalize it early because the batter seemed to know it before he signaled but I had the same reaction as you watching it.

Listening to the internet announcers discussing this play was comical. One actually said that even if the ball was foul, he would call the batter out because the ball may come back to fair territory...what??
