First, congrats to Ben Nevels and his team on a well earned victory. He is a class act and a great leader. Second, no official cost Scott this game. Scott cost themselves the game. Pick six's, fumbles, fumble for TD, spiking it on fourth down on the 5 yd line, play calling, decision making. Did the inadvertent whistle hurt? Sure. But they lost on their own and cost themselves the opportunity to host two playoff games. Kids will make mistakes, so will officials and coaches. Holmes won, Scott lost. Kudos goes to the Bulldog players and their staff, who do a fantastic job. Best of luck to both teams next week.

Just talked to Kevin. At no time did he have interest in the NCC job, interview for the NCC job, nor does he have any intention of leaving BW. Jeff Martin is the new coach at NCC. Shameful rumors only backfire. Congrats to Coach Martin! Best of luck to you!

Congrats to the Beechwood players and coaches! What a year! Also, congrats to the Highlands players and coaches on a great season, but a fantastic run. Wow! Kevin Gray and Jeremy Biaoni are two of the best in the state and it shows in how their kids perform. Wishing BW luck at the semi-state! Bring it home.

Logan is the best player in the state. It helps that he plays on the best team in the state. It would be a travesty for him to not be named Mr. Baseball!

I believe the nation is broken into regions, then those regions have a committee that reviews candidates for players in those states, sort of like how Little League Baseball has regions made up of several states. If that makes any sort of sense? Don't know how they determine the candidates tough.

I think Harrison County is more dangerous than people give them credit for. If their three balls are going in, anything can happen. It'll be a test of who's making shots and rebounding.

I think the difference in the game was pretty clear. Cooper was 4/12 from the 3pt line, Scott was 4/9. Cooper was 16/23 from the FT line, Scott was 19/24. They were pretty even in every other category. Scott had 19 team fouls to Cooper's 17. Cooper was in the bonus first in both halves.

Dave Faust is a fantastic coach. Numbers can be deceiving, but this man builds the right way and teaches the game in the correct way. SO many good points in this thread from other posters, but he gets the most out of each team that plays for him. You also never hear of ignorance coming out of that program either, which is also a tip of the hat to him. Tremendous respect for Coach Faust from this poster.

Congrats, H! Chris Wolfe has done wonders in his time there. Very happy for him, their team, as well as school and community. Side note: It pleases me to see Jim McKee humbled. Excellent coach, but his comments irk me.

I haven't, but have heard of it. How about this: A free kick following a fair catch? This I have seen, and yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. You punt to me, I fair catch it. We line up in a kickoff formation, as do you. I kick the ball through the uprights and get 3 points. Score! Talk about bizarre.
