Congrats to the Beechwood players and coaches! What a year! Also, congrats to the Highlands players and coaches on a great season, but a fantastic run. Wow! Kevin Gray and Jeremy Biaoni are two of the best in the state and it shows in how their kids perform. Wishing BW luck at the semi-state! Bring it home.

An incredible season for Beechwood. I like that they faced Highlands in the title game and got to be the team that took the title from them. Avenged their only "loss" of the year twice. Good luck to Beechwood down state.

This was not the game I expected. I expected a low scoring defensive battle. Both Defenses struggled last night. I feel like it was just the nerves of the moment but there were a lot of very hard hit balls all game. I really like Beechwood’s chances as long as their pitching throws strikes and doesn’t walk people. A lot of Highlands big innings came after a few walks so if they button that up they are solid. Great game and it was very fun to watch. Nice season for Highlands they played till the last out so nothing to hang their heads about. Let’s Go Tigers make some noise at State!!!!

I had predicted in an earlier thread for them not to make it out of the 9th, and in my mind this would be the eventual title game and Highlands experience there would take over.

 

Beechwood was poised from the get-go and did not let this happen.
