  1. Just stating my opinion based off of experience. that's what this site is for.
  2. I'm not sure. combination of just the students' attitudes about the program, lack of participation, and maybe some bad coaching. Its a pretty rough school. they had probably 35 kids for the varsity game. It hard to see that when football can be a great way for kids to have fun and be a part of something bigger than themselves in high school. I hope it can get turned around soon. I've actually heard rumors of termination of the football program.
  3. I have seen Seneca play against Eastern and they may have the worst football program in 6A. there is no hope. don't be rediculous
  4. Congrats to Bishop Brossart. A great finish to a story of persistence and hard work. Little surprised to hear cov cath was second, although I guess you cant really take into consideration what happens on the field, its hard to see. but again great job by the whole BB community working toward a goal and achieving it!
  5. Yes he played in both the 2007 and 2008 state championship games. I remember one play he had on special teams in the 2007 game where he made a huge block on a kid to clear the way for a big punt return, and then CAUGHT BACK UP WITH THE RETURNER to block the last kid in his way to make it a return for a TD. Played somewhere else at first but ended up at UC playing a little here and there.
  6. mexitucky I've heard that aloe vera gel is good for 3rd degree burns.
  7. I thought he played half the game before getting hurt?
  8. In a game where male's offense (who has carried their season) decided to take a night off, their defense stepped up and looked good. They definitely struggle dealing with a multi faceted QB though. St. X defensive is no joke. They looked good. I can see St.X turning some heads in the playoffs. Their record does not give them justice.
  9. sorry I must have misunderstood, I thought he meant that was going to be what he did tonight, not his season stats.
  10. Last season game of the year is NCC. It is an ancient rivalry game that sends all records and scores out the window most years. Always a tough, hard fought game. That will probably be the next good challenge of beechwood's will to win and focus on getting the job done against a passionate team. And after that, maybe 3rd or 4th round of playoffs.
  11. That kid already has to go to school through the back door because his ego can't fit through the front door, I don't think you need to feed it any more
  12. I believe you, as long as he wasn't the white hat for the BW Mayfield playoff game in 2011.
  13. I saw one game they played, and they looked GOOD. Athletes everywhere, stout defense. And it seemed like a lot of their best players were all freshman and sophomores. If they don't get it this year, they have quite a few more chances. A lot of young talent.
  14. I guess I meant more of the attitude not necessarily his skill. not one to shy away from contact.
  15. I would say in accordance with passing QB's, he is most likely the best from beechwood. But in the past beechwood has a very bountiful history of running QBs that threw it when necessary. (Elliot, Rigdon, etc.)
  16. More of a classic hard nosed running qb from what I know. It is said he was "a linebacker playing qb not a qb playing linebacker."
  17. It's hard to predict who will be good at other levels and not. Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round. Other great players are even originally walk ons at college. All I know is that slusher kid no doubt has the most important factor: work ethic.
  18. That is impressive if true. Only problem is, is it true? I have seen articles and such in the past like one about Ryle's OL a couple years back when they were relatively impressive, such as their 40yard dash times and other things were exaggerated. Hard to know for sure unless you here it from the team themselves.
  19. Was beechwood never involved in that? that would surprise considering all the time kids always say when they play beechwood, they are always taken back by how, no matter the size, the kids are some of the strongest they face all year in football. Especially with all the athletes bw had in the late 80s-90s
  20. Man, that's tough for Dayton. Well done bracken. The polar bears might be able to rattle some cages in the near future. If bracken did this to Dayton, I'm not sure what to expect when beechwood plays them
  21. I agree with Scott or another local option. I don't like them playing Holmes, because whether beechwood is winning or losing, those guys tend to head hunt and look for big hits instead of charging after team oriented goals, and they have the size of players to really hurt bw kids when they do that. I am glad bw stopped playing them, but I would like to see bw maintain at least a little big school competition.
  22. Hergott? Any relation to the beechwood qb from the 90's?
  23. Indeed. Not sure if I would recommend anyone missing any of the 1A playoff games this year. Great competition all around and it looks like a lot of teams are coming out to play this year in 1A. Mayfield is gone, the crown is waiting and it is complete chaos and anarchy over who gets it. My guess is whoever truly wants it the most. Just the way I like it.
