  1. I will like to see how Cooper is playing by the Lloyd tourney at the end of December.
  2. It wouldn't surprise me if we don't see any football players on the court for Cooper.
  3. Congrats to Cooper players and coaches. You fought hard all season and reached the end. Great turnout of the Cooper community. Couldn't beat the weather and enjoyed my first trip to WKU. Congrats also to BG.
  4. Do you think that is new style of Cooper or just early season game under new coach?
  5. Sounds like a typical 9th Region game. Give the boys from Dixie time to adjust to the varsity level.
  6. Is this too strong NCC or too weak Dixie or just a throw away game?
  7. That is great to hear. He really put effort in working to get back. I wish him luck.
  8. Really hate to hear about Nick. I talked to him last Saturday and he was going Monday to Dr. He didn't get the news he was hoping for. With SK injuries it will give their bench some valuable experience. I hate for any kid to get hurt but especially his Senior year.
  9. Correct name: Colin Hathorn. Very nice kid and should be solid contributor. Rebounds outside his area really nice.
  10. I have no first hand knowledge of BG. I have followed KY football to know the strong program they have. My hope is that Cooper shows up and gives them their best shot and we will accept the results. Go Jags, you have given us all something to enjoy this season.
  11. Great point 4. Players buying into a new coach's philosophy is the greatest sign of respect to the past coach. Knowing the girls and seeing how hard they are working I believe here will be good surprises ahead for this team.
  12. I agree with what has been written about respect from local media. I give that to the newness of Cooper. You will earn respect over time with success. This is a special group of players at Cooper led by a strong senior class. It may or may not lead to a win Saturday. I am hoping for a win. Go JAGS.
  13. Congrats to the boys and coaches at Cooper. Hard fought game. Well played by both teams. Harlan took the opening kickoff and marched straight down the field for a touchdown. I thought Cooper was in for a long night. Harlan would not score again.
  14. Great job on the pictures Panda. Thanks for sharing.
  15. I think Wiggins was pressing a bit. Cal, Kenny Payne, Orlando Antigua were there. Players committed to 4 D1 schools (Tenn, Baylor, Ark, Fl St) were on the court. Wiggins would fit at UK...he didn't shoot freethrows well. Kid was fast.
  16. Congrats to Cooper. Great turnout of students, fans, the band and cheerleaders. Very entertaining game. What a high school football game should be about. Sorry one set of kids have to feel the losing end. But that is why sports can be fun and awful at the same time.
  17. Great kid. Congrats on player of the week.
  18. It's good to hear that Coach Terwilliger and his staff is coaching up the girls. I know the girls will do their part as always. I hope the Lady Jags will get their first district varsity win in school history this season. Go Lady Jags.
  19. Coach Turner was a very polite and pleasant person. She wanted to be a friend to the girls instead of a coach. The team was more of a social club instead of a basketball team. There is no problem in that, but I think enough people didn't want that. So she moved on. Good luck to the Lady Jags. They have a very hard district to deal with.
  20. With Breathitt having to play at Belfry, I think Breathitt will fall.
  21. I hope we have a close and exciting game Friday night. I think as many have said Cooper's D must get enough stops to keep FCC around 35. Cooper needs several long offensive drives eating up the clock to have the best chance of winning IMO. I am particularly concerned about how our DB's will play against the wideouts. They gave up some big plays last Friday night against S Oldham. Good luck to the Jags.
  22. I agree totally with the fact about fans from both schools can take it too far. That's what make them fans. I will say it is also good that you have two teams in the same district and in close proximity being good enough to have this debate. Hopefully both schools can continue the rivalry on the field and not just rely on words from afar.
  23. Not to mention all three wins were on the road.
  24. With major contributors coming from the football team, the basketball team may hit some bumps early. But don't count them out. Coach Sullivan and his staff is pretty good at bringing a team along.
  25. I am very happy for Lou. Congrats to him and his family. The school is not that far away for his family to be able to see him play.
