Cooper gives it a go, but Bowling Green caps back to back titles!

Bowling Green has now won 30 consecutive games.

I thought this would be the biggest of the blowouts this weekend. I admit I was wrong. Cooper hung tough. Congrats to BG

Congrats to both teams!!

The 14 points scored after Cooper turnovers was huge.

Congratulations Purples from a early 1980s Purple...

I wasn't expecting a blowout, by any means.. Cooper beat some solid teams in Anderson Co, Franklin Co and Harlan Co to get there, so, you had to know they were a talented team and playing good ball, coming into it.. BGreen is very athletic and a solid team, but, weren't very disciplined as they had to have 5 or 6 offside penalties that kept Cooper drives alive.. Congrats Purples on another undefeated season and 30 wins in a row and bringing another title to the Wild, wild west..

Congrats Purples! Congrats to Cooper as well!

Congrats Purples! Another feather in that cap. Was great seeing Purple Haze. Mr & Mrs!

Congratulations to the Purples on winning state and to Cooper on a great season.

Congrats to BG, you have a great team!

Cooper, I couldn't be more proud of you all. You proved tonight you belonged here. Great game and keep your heads up. It was an amazing season and you all should be proud.

For all those talking about a blowout, Cooper did themselves proud. Take away the 2 turnovers on their first 2 plays and they hung tight the rest of the way. I am so proud of the Jags and coach Borchers and his coaching staff.

For the seniors, you all set a mark that will be the mark for all future teams to strive for. Only a 5 year old school and you accomplished more than many older schools still haven't reached. Congrats! And most of all thanks for one incredible and fun ride.

BG not the machine they were hyped to be, obviously. Congrats to Cooper on a great season!

I agree.

That said, I think everyone in NKY should be proud of the Cooper Jags and everything they accomplished this year! You earned your very first trip to the state championship, and didn't get blown out. In fact, you put yourself in position to win throughout the game, before coming up a little short at the end.

You had a great season and represented our region proudly. Good luck next season, Jags. I'm sure you will be right back in the hunt for your first State Championship! :thumb:

Last years team was a machine, this years team was in rebuild mode, next years team is going to be a scary machine...:thumb:

Congrats to BG on their State Championship. Cooper High School be proud of what you did this year, Congratulations to Coach Borchers, Asst Coaches, players, cheerleaders and the Cooper Nation on a great year. I know my brother in law Randy (Coop Dog) Cooper would be proud. You all set an accomplishment that many new schools do not attain in such a short time. Be proud especially you seniors a mark that does not come easy. Again CONGRATS COOPER HIGH SCHOOL. JD

You got any idea what BG's schedule looks like for the next two years? They return most everyone from this team and should have a good shot at going unbeaten and running it to 45 straight wins next year as long as they don't play any out of state powerhouses. That would mean in 2014 they would need to win their first 6 to break Trinity's 50 game state record win streak.
