Final from Frankfort!

CONGRATS JAGS. 5 of 5 on 2 pt. conversions.....WOW!!!!! :notworthy:

Just got home and what a game!!! All the kids played awesome but a huge game by the offensive and defensive lines led by Taylor Centers and Dustin Mitchell. They were in the backfield causing Timmons and gang to make their first cuts deep in the backfield. Timmons has special talent but other than the one long run he didn't hurt the Jag's defense too much.

Morris and Collins had great games as usual and a huge interception in the end zone before the half by Morris. The Jag's defense held FC to 7 points in the second half. Unreal!!

The prediction thread asked if Cooper could score 50 or 60.... well 28 is all they needed but 40 wasn't bad and 7 points for FC came when the Jag's wide receiver fumbled on their own 15 yard line giving a very short field for FC to score.

The Jag's fans filled their side and the endzone so great support. Good luck next week!!

Conner wore them out last week, or they would have won

Also, a big thumbs up to coach Borchers. Normally he seems conservative but after an off side on FC during the extra point on the first TD put the ball on the one, he went for the two and they made it with ease. So, every TD he called for the two point conversion and they made them all. Also he had them go for it on 4th down near midfield a couple of times and they made it. I'm sure he figured they would need all the points they could get with FC's explosive offense but he called a great game and an aggressive game. Well done coach!!

Congrats to the Jags on an impressive win. I picked them to win this game before the playoffs started. I choose defense over offense and Cooper has the best defense in this region. Still, holding Franklin County to 27 is darn good with all the talent and speed they have.

It was clear FC fans would not be sending Christmas cards to Conner, that's for sure. I've never heard so many complaints against a team in a long time.

I say this with no rancor and I say it as a Conner fan.

Who cares?

Really. Like the Cooper game the FC game has tuned into a nice rivalry. It gets heated occasionally. Some FC fans do not like Conner. Heck, they can join hands with Cooper fans. Who really cares?

Not I, as some FC fans were not very nice to us either!! Go NKY!!! Their students even called our cheerleaders names during halftime as they went to the concession and restrooms. Not very nice. I'm sure the cheerleaders were ok with it after the game though.

Not all fans though, some were kind.

I vote we keep this conversation to the game itself. Every team has jackball fans and they are the 1%.

Thanks for your vote!!

predicted this in Week 2: that is Cooper would win out and get to State. Winning it a very tall task!!

Congrats to coach Borchers and the Jags. It was a great game. I heard so much about FC that I kept waiting for them to explode. It never happened.

Conner wore them out last week, or they would have won

I vote for this being the idiotic post of the year!

Congrats!

Congrats to Cooper. Great turnout of students, fans, the band and cheerleaders. Very entertaining game. What a high school football game should be about. Sorry one set of kids have to feel the losing end. But that is why sports can be fun and awful at the same time.
