The game was incredible. Collins, Brooks, Mitchell and Morris all got banged up pretty good in the game yet you couldn't keep them off the field. They made sure they were going to leave everything out on the field and after Collins got hurt I didn't think we'd see him the rest of the game and all he did was come right back in a few plays later to score the final TD on an awesome 30 yrd run.

 

FC played so hard and they have no reason to hang their heads. Great season FC and best of luck to all the seniors.

 

Timmons had me worried before the game but Cooper pretty much shut him down. He did start getting a bit frustrated early in the game and still made a couple great plays but other than that he was pretty much contained, was an incredible defense tonight by Cooper.

 

FC had a short field all night, only 2 possesions they started behind the 20 yard line (2 punts) and the rest had good field position but couldn't do anything against the defense. FC's QB was hounded all night long. #10 for FC, Maupin, is a special receiver. Great hands and concentration. He will definately have a nice future at the next level.

 

Great game by both teams and congrats to the 3rd region Champs, Cooper Jaguars!

Oh, and for anyone not at the game wondering how Cooper would handle their kickoffs. Wether they would use the same strategy as Conner tried by onside kicking everytime. The answer is no.

1st kickoff high short kick, I believe it ended up going out of bounds.

2nd kick they kicked it right to Timmons, little gain on his return.

the rest were short high kicks with maybe 1 or two true onside kicks.

Most were high short kicks, I know FC fair caught at least 2 of them.

 

But the kicking game didn't decide anything except kept FC from returning any for TD's

Conner wore them out last week, or they would have won

I hope you guys win the state championship! God bless Ryan and Logan and Greg and the other 3 seniors for Franklin County you have certainly been a joy at 23-2 the last two seasons from 1-9 four years ago. Just was not our time, but we have two very bright, hard working, young offensive and defensive coordinators and a very good man leading our program. I believe Franklin County will remain a solid program for years to come. Again, congrats Cooper and go win it all!

Just an unbelievable run Cooper is on! I hope that their parents, fans, players, staff, and community have enjoyed this journey. Such a special group of kids. I'd love to see them make it to Bowling Green to be able to give their best shot to whomever ends up there against them. Also, I know it's been said more and more recently, but Randy Borchers and his staff have done a marvelous job in building their program. Best of luck to them going forward.

FC deserves all the kudos they get. They had a great year and I made sure after the game that I went over to the sidelines where the teams came off the field and let the FC players know how proud they should be and they have nothing to be ashamed of. They are a great team and needed to know what a great year they had.

 

I was also very impressed with the fans after the game also, several came up to me to congratulate us....very classy.

 

It was a great game and great atmosphere. The entire stadium was rocking and that is what High School football should be about. Great turnout by both fanbases.

 

Good luck to you all in the years to come. I was talking with another Cooper parent after the game and wondered how great of a district it would be if we had you all, Cooper, Conner and South Oldham all in the same district...wow! Every year would be a battle! The toughest district in the entire state in any class.

 

That was my first time at FC and I was very impressed, I love FC's student section in the endzone, that was pretty cool. Great place!

Franklin County, what a magical run! 23-2 over two years! Excitement abounds the program. Seniors: wish you luck in your next endeavors. Take the lessons from Coach Tracy and his staff to heart. They will serve you well as you become productive men.

Congrats to Cooper. This game was decided in the trenches and Cooper won both. Turnovers absolutely killed the Flyers especially the 1 right before halftime. This group of kids at FC have set the bar high for the teams to follow. Seniors you will be missed, but hold your head high. QB pressure was relentless and all night long for Cooper. Tackling was another area won big by Cooper. Very good fundamentally sound coached team. BTW, Wouldn't have made a difference but the officiating crew was the worst we have ever seen in a playoff game. Sad. Now go win it all Cooper.

Great game and atmosphere last night. I thought Cooper brought a very strong crowd and was very impressed with the turnout from the FC folks.

 

The difference in the game to me was Cooper's defensive line. They were the best group FC has seen in a long time. Constant pressure on Logan Woodside all night made things very tough.

 

Cooper is a very well coached team and gets the most out of every single player they have on the field. Also, the decision to go for 2 after every score turned out to be a big deal. 10 extra points on the night for the Jags definetly was a huge difference in this game.

 

I would like to say thanks to all the FC seniors for the last 4 years of football. From going 1-9 that freshmen year where it seemed like every game I was standing in the rain to the last two seasons of 23-2. It's been a great ride and these kids deserve nothing but praise and respect. Also, to my two good friends and coaches Nick Sheridan and Gordon Miles, I'm glad to see you translate your success on the field to success as good young coaches who will continue to succeed throughout the years. I want to say a special thank you to Greg Maupin, who I have had the luxury to coach since he was a freshman basketball player for me, for being everything a football player should be. To Logan Woodside, for everything you've done for our program and for proving all the people that told you you couldn't be a starting qb and get a division 1 scholarship, thank you. Last but certainly not least, Ryan Timmons who I've had the privalage to know and coach since he was in the 6th grade, there is not a single kid I have ever been more proud of for how you have handled yourself these last 4 years. You are the absolute best football player I have ever seen at the high school level and you are an even better person. You have done something for our school and community that has never been done. No matter what happens at the next level you will become a very successful person and an even better man, I love you man.

 

Good luck to Cooper the rest of the season. I will be cheering you on to win a state championship.

I just would like to say thank you to all the FC fans for wishing us well as our journey. Friday's game was a great game and we could not wait for the clock to reach 0:00 as your team is truly explosive. Timmons is one of the best players I've seen in the last 10 years hands down and he would get my vote for Mr. Football regardless if Quick comes back from injury or not. Since I am a Buckeye fan I sincerely hope he ends up in Scarlet and Gray!

 

Again, thank you FC fans for your well wishes. We will do our best to represent the region well this Friday at Harlan Co. which everything I'm hearing is not an easy place to play (now I understand the "Deliverance" references) we will approach this one "business as usual". There will be no need to worry about looking past HC. We haven't done it all year and we are not going to start now. All eye's on HC.
