Standout Campbell County Senior Nate McGovney has been cleared to play today. I know a lot of people have been praying for a quick recovery from his knee injury over the summer and he has gotten back on the court quicker than expected. Cannot wait to watch this kid on the court for his senior season. Kind of sad in a way that this is his last year on the high school court. Been watching this kid tear up the court since 6th grade. Knew back then he was something special, not only as a player but also as a person. Should be fun to watch him and his outstanding brother Trent on the court at the same time this year. Good luck to the McGovney boys and the Camels basketball team this season. Praying for a great season that is injury free.

That is great news to hear. Best of luck to Nate for a great senior season and beyond.

Great news for Nate and the Camels!

Nate is one of my favorite players to watch, good for him!

This is great news! Wish him the best of luck and an injury-free season.

Refresh my memory please. When did he have the surgery....was there meniscus damage as well? I have seen him play and he is a nice player. Wish him the best. My son had surgery in June (ACL & meniscus) and is still not cleared to play. Looking like after Christmas.

What a hard worker to get himself back ready for the season opener. We all knew he would.

Best of luck Nate until you play the Birds then take a night off for all of our sakes huh. LOL

Such great news for this young man, his family, and his basketball teammates. Look forward to watching him play this year. Hope you have a great year Nate!!!

Any updates on Nate's college prospects?

That is great to hear. He really put effort in working to get back. I wish him luck.

Nate's the best. Spent some time with him and family on the AAU road. Have only the best wishes for him except for only one night this season.

This is great news. Nate is one of those kids you only hear good things about, on and off the court. :thumb:

I spoke with Nate last night and he is ready to go and thanks everyone for the support.

Solid player. Hope he has a great senior season.

Good luck to Nate
