I look for Cooper to get past Ryle and earn their first trip to the Regionals.

Nice win Jags. Last home game for 4 seniors that have been in the program all four years. They have been part of Cooper' s first district title and first win in a regional tourney. Also going 6-0 in district this year and getting Cooper's first 20 win season in school history. Thanks A J Collins, Louis Maniacci, Tyler Morris and Drew Shelton.

Congrats to Newport. Came in and took game. Cooper poor effort from free throw stripe really hurt. But they also didn't show enough energy on the defensive end giving up too many layups.

12 is Corey's uniform number.

Part of that is the D that Cooper plays that makes teams work so hard just to get a shot off. As the game goes on, the legs will go and shots fall short. Congrats to Cooper on the win.

Since it is Senior night at SK I like the Pioneers in this one. Very emotional night.

I don't know the situation at WV now or in the past. But I agree with the positives regarding McNeil. He joined this team and has not forced anything. He has been accepted and welcomed by his teammates. He has take more and more of a quiet leadership role as the season has progressed. I enjoy watching his game develop.

I love to watch him shoot it and get on a roll where he doesn't miss. I saw him hit six in a row in a summer game one time.

It probably was reversed last year or will be next year. I have seen this before. No big problem.

Barnes may have been tired from all of the pushing and pulling he does on D. The kid sure can get on a role with the 3. Pretty shot.

Congrats to Mays. He scored more in this game than the entire Ryle team did against Cooper (24).

I agree about Brandon not looking motivated at times. I remember seeing him earlier in a game and he didn't seem like he really cared to be there. However. But he is a great player. I think this game will be over in the first half. I agree with the majority, doubt Hatton guards Bolton not quick enough.

Cooper is suppose to play Boone next. The 2 schools have to schedule the game.

Coming out at half Mays was being consoled by his teammates. He kept a towel over his head while Mullins was talking to the team before the start of the second half.

A complete beat down. Cooper played the best team defense I have seen. Totally took Ryle out of anything they tried to do. Ryle didn't even have a good shot at the basket in the first half.

The great equalizer is the 3 ball. Ryle seems to me to shoot real well at home. I still like Cooper in the 8 point range.

There should be a whole lot more offensive fouls if that is the rule. Guess it depends on who is holding the whistle.

Who is the AD at Boone? Nell Fookes?

I am expecting a close game. Barker didn't play in the first game. I understand that the Conner students and the principal have made up and the students should turn out big tonight. I hope the weather doesn't hamper attendance. This is high school basketball at its best.

Congrats to the Cougars. Looks like the game Wednesday is shaping up to be a humdinger.

Congrats to the Lady Jags and coaches. Well deserved win. I also thought there was a great turnout of fans to support the girls in getting their first district win. Sweet getting the win against a great coach like Coach Fookes.

Cooper has had a tendency to play at the level of their opponent. They did not do that against Beechwood and Highlands. I want to see that trend continue and if it does Cooper will win.

This game will tell us about Cooper. BC is young but has come a long way and playing well. Cooper needs to show us some maturity and come in and don't overlook BC. If that happens I look for Cooper to win.
