Red Colonels will travel to Covington Tuesday night to take on the Bulldogs.

Holmes comes in 22-0 after an 88-62 win over Beechwood.

Dixie comes in 12-10 after an 85-66 loss to SK.

Excited to see the Hatton v Bolden match up.

Thoughts?

Also, I'll be there filming the game so I will have highlights for both teams by Wednesday afternoon.

Hatton/Bolden will only be a "matchup" in the stats. Can't see them guarding each other.

In a man to man setting, I would guess that Coston will guard Hatton and Daria will guard Bolden.

Chevy will play some zone in this one and it wouldn't surprise me to see him use some box and 1 to shadow Bolden.

If they do go man 2 man, I can almost guarantee Hatton spends some time defending Bolden, along with Liam Rabe. My guess on the match ups:

Bolden v Rabe/Hatton

Palmer v Daria

Coston v Hatton

Englemon v Ruehr

Chames v Niehaus

I think that's Dixie's starting 5.

Holmes. More athletic and better at this point. Bolden is a star!

I think Dixie's sophomores could have a decent game. Hatton will get his as usual.

Andrew Hedger has been starting the last 4 games, with Nick Niehaus. 2 sophomores.

Thanks.

Englemon and Chames will be a tough match up for those two.

I'll be surprised if either guards the other.

Ruehr is out due to injury, maybe for the year. I think Dixie could use Bolin's length in this one.

This game has "trap game" written all over it for Holmes. The film crew is coming in later this week, NCC is coming up next week and Dixie has to look like "easy pickings" to Holmes after their stinker to SK. However, if Dixie plays well (they have at times this year against good competition), and if Chev plays a tighter rotation (like he did in Scott County), then Dixie might surprise. But if Chev gets subbing "diarrhea," then it's Holmes by 20+

I agree, Bolin's length (6'7 ish) could help, especially if Dixie goes zone.

Also agree with the sub rotation. I think 8 or 9 should play, not 11. Hard for kids to get into a flow, especially young players.

Also, agree that Hatton and Bolden would probably not guard each other. Not sure, but Bolden may be to quick for Hatton, and Hatton too strong for Bolden. Bad matchups defensively.

May be?

This is a water shed game for Dixie! Win it and Dixie will be regrouped and rengersized but if they get blown out, it could spell trouble for them for the rest of the year!

I agree with you, it could be a huge trap game for Holmes as adult sometimes fail to remember, these are just kids who are playing and kids can get caught up in events that are up coming and forget about the now at hand!

May be?

Yes. Maybe. I know out and out Bolden is certainly faster/quicker. But, not sure if Hatton's strength/size (compared to Bolden) could neutralize some of that speed in the half court.

Don't think they'll guard one another anyway, and they both get their own.
