Basketball season for 2012-2013 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Cooper? Remember, please be constructive.

I know a lot has taken place with Cooper and their coach but I still hear they have some talented players and in my opinion the 33rd will be down this year so you never know. I wish the new coach and the players good luck on this upcoming season.

What exactly has taken place?

All the stuff that should not occur, parents questioning the coach, players transferring or not coming back and the end result a coach resigns. That kind of stuff. But with that said, they have talent, a new coach and a fresh start, good luck to the new coach.

I wish the new coach luck as well. But lets be real. From what I hear, the same parents are there, they lost players, and I hear they are going to be lucky to have 20 girls in the whole program. They will still be the at the bottom of the District. One spot above Heritage. They don't have the players that BC, Ryle, and Conner have. Sure they have a few players that can play, but they don't have a girl over 5'9" in the program. Teams with size will feast on them inside. They will do what they have done in the past. Beat some weak teams, but lose to the good ones. Maybe they will prove me wrong, but I will believe it when I see it.

Just Boone County District gossip. It might be shocking, but girls from Conner and Cooper do talk. Just like the parents talk. I hope they do well this year. But they do have a lot of factors against them. Maybe what I hear is not true. I will give you that. But reading other threads and posts on here, I don't think I am too far off the mark.

 

If you are close to the situation then tell me if I am wrong on my statements:

-same parents that drove off the last coach

-lost kids to other schools

-are going to be lucky to have 20 girls total

for all 3 teams

-don't have a girl over 5'9"

 

If I am wrong, I will take it like a grown man. I pull for underdogs.

Cooper will be better than last year, but I still think they will be on the outside looking in for the 33rd district. IMO district finals will be between Conner and Boone. Ryle and Cooper will not make the regional tournament.

Is the Maniacci girl playing at Cooper?

Yes. Grace is playing. She had a very good summer with one of our 10th grade teams.

Is it true they only have 17 girls total? Another long year for the Lady Jaguars. Conner will clean their clocks!
