  1. That is him. #2 Prickett is Coopers guy.
  2. Cooper freshmen had a real nice qb/athlete in Schlarman. I believe he is now starting varsity defense at safety.
  3. Yea, my nephew played their team a few weeks ago and after RM's team took a loss. Randy refused to shake hands with the opposing team and staff. I take Sydneys stance on him and say "not impressed".
  4. Yes, I was being sarcastic. Lighten up folks
  5. Blue Collar Cooper (hard working folks) work concessions stands weekly at PBS to raise funds. I wonder if the AD requested the grant as well? Cooper sure could use a new turf field there as well.
  6. It's quite obvious that they are made, because you can be born the most athletic kid in the world, but if you can't MAKE the grades that qualify you for a DI program, you play lower level.
  7. Looks like 90 is getting ran over here!
  8. Good observation, but the right cornerback had nothing to do with the runs up the gut. Ball control was won by CC with the mobile QB that kept the Cooper defense on their heels in the 4th.
  9. That means he played freshman as an 8th grader I hope.
  10. #73 for the bluebirds was a monster! This was a great played game by both teams. If Cooper pinches that last score in from the 2 or 3 yard line, it could have easily gone the other way. Good defensive stand by H.
  11. When they went to state, they had a TOTAL team effort . Cordell gives them a good running game, but sooner or later the ball has to go in the air beyond 10 or 15 yards to get that far.
  12. Let me see.......play football and have my education paid for in full or pay out of pocket? I guess you have to love the game to understand that choice.
  13. T Brown was a full scholly as well.
  14. I'm betting it's down to UC and Miami OH. Miami OH gives him a better chance to almost play immediately at that size. When I talked with him, he really like everything about Miami OH. Coming from CCH, that Ivy League setting in Oxford makes him feel right at home.
  15. Trevan Brown - Miami of Ohio Troy Timmerman - Air Force Josh Ferdell - Air Force Paul Ritter - EKU (no longer playing but a team assistant I believe) All former Razorbacks from the BCPWFL
  16. I don't think Dixie dominated totally against the Jags defensive line. They had their moments, but domination;not.
  17. Was this 7 on 7 so bad, that all there is to discuss is "turf fields"? How was the actual 7 on 7 event?
  18. "This move to CCH will help with his Recruiting, education, relationship with God, and help him make friends that he will have for the rest of his life.:" Please elaborate a little more on this comment. I'm not convinced.
  19. XBox + Playstation = Lazy Kids........................ that's my answer
  20. Well I have yet to see more serious injuries in baseball than football, and I have experienced a lot of football and baseball at many levels. (Check the statistics on that one!) Football is a physical game of "constant" collisions, and some kids just don't want that. We can coach proper technique and safety until we are blue in the face, but that doesn't mean every kid is going to receive it and execute it. Football is not for everyone. To just throw a kid out on a football field and say oh he'll survive, is very risky and a system that I hope no parent would ever want their kid in. I've been coaching for 20+ years and safety has always been a priority and even more so now with the increased knowledge of concussions and other football related injuries that can be prevented if the kid is properly prepared and ready for the game.
  21. Not too terrible if you are dealing with kids that won't show up for practice, or the kids that don't really want to play, but they are out there for mommy and daddy. Trust me when I say the kids that put in the work and accept the coaching of how to play fundamental football in a "safe" manner will get their 8 plays and many more. But as a coach I personally will never put a kid in danger for the sake of playing time.
  22. Is that a"bitter , party of 10 statement"? Aaron Floyd is a much better athlete and young man as you are touting him to be. Spoke with the young man personally a few years back and it is a fact that he has had interest in leaving BC before now. If you think this kid could not help the BC program, you're dead wrong. No matter where he lands, the team will benefit from his athleticism as would have BC. Everyone, is entitled to an opinion, but to slam a high school kid like that publicly is wrong, unless you're a high school kid yourself, and the I would understand the hard personal animosity.
  23. If you need an additional year to compete high school academically, you should lose that final year of athletic eligibility. JMO
  24. It's not just terminology. Every coach has their physical system and schemes that differ in each high school program. If that trickles down or starts with the youth program it becomes muscle memory as well as intellect. Yes, Ryle may take a step back to learn the new coaches system and terminology, but as long as he stays, they will be prepared for what happens under his leadership in high school. I know for sure that the Union Jags have kids that are definitely seeing the benefit of that feeder system. Building that relationship early forms a stronger bond with the boys as well.
