Yes, you can go by invite, but i'm pretty sure you can't just register yourself for a camp. There were a couple of factors at the combine that MAY have effected times 1. The winds were up and down and all over the place. 2. Some groups did their shuttles late in the rotations, and the turf was not as stiff as when the drills began. (quite a few kids slipping). I didn't see one college coach or scout that I would deem important there, so we took that combine as a measuring stick. Now, we know what to work on agility drill wise prior to going in front of college coaches at the one day camps. Have your best day in front of 1 of many coaches and even the 5.0 timed 40 runners can get that offer they want. You don't have to be a Rivals star rated player to get a DI scholarship.

That there shows just how much you know. You don't just GO to a Rivals camp!

At any given moment you or your team can be the "BEST". Owensboro was the best when it mattered, so yes to end the year, they are the BEST.

Again that was last year. Apparently you're having a problem with past present and future, we're talking about next year. That line is goggled for three games made it to the state semi's. And trust me they did face another good teams and move the ball enough to get the win

We are now talking next year...That line will have another year of experience and another year getting stronger. Should be even better than last year.

I think Cooper has one of the top o-lines in NKY, and definitely one of; if not the best, o-line coach in NKY in B Burnett.

I totally disagree about attending only invited camps. It's called " a diamond in the rough". The fee of $50 is worth showing up on a college campus for a 4 hour camp and putting your unknown or never seen talents out in front of a staff. A bonus is that there are usually several other college coaches attending these camps, so if you don't impress the host coach, some other coach or smaller level college may be interested. You have to dictate the presentation and let them decide. It's better than not trying at all!

As I believe Ivy League is a great opportunity, it does come with a financial coast even with academic scholarship. I am familiar with one NKY athlete who chose paying a certain amount for Ivy league over a full ride offer to MU for 2 sports that he enjoyed playing. You can't beat an Ivy league education and if you can afford it even with the academic scholarship I believe it's the best route.

For us it's not about getting looks, it's going to be about giving looks. High school ball has put us behind the 8-ball for an athletic type kid that can play many positions, but unable to generate any major film. His plan is to hit the one day college camps full force like a major job interview, and to do is his best to show his athleticism and steal a scholarship offer. Even if you are getting DI looks, you still have to prove yourself to keep that college recruit interest.

I was confused by that move as well. Boone has never been a disrespectful program and to see that, I was at a loss. Both teams played a hard fought game where home court advantage may have been the decider in the end. The refs were questionable on both ends so, no blame there. T he leader of that Boone team "Stanley" is a stand up quality kid; win or lose, and by no means disrespectful. This was a bad decision that I'm sure did not sit well with the opponents, or maybe they were too busy enjoying the win to notice, I don't know. But as Mr. Sixer said, as a coach, I would never allow my team to walk off the court prior to completion of award ceremonies.

We had the same experience from NUC. He excelled there, and college recruiters were impressed with how well he did there, as well as their individual camps. Plus, the multiple NUC camps prepared him for the college camp "trench" competitions.

Correct. Kunkle, Mcneil and Runion have not played any freshman games this year. The freshman team would be completely different with them on it, but I agree to playing the boys at their level of play and not playing down just to get freshman game wins.

SG you are completely lost in the conversation. It's all about perception. And if you are reading a majority of the posts about this topic, the kid is obviously doing something "visually", to garner this image. He can tone it down and still be a dominant player, or he can continue his antics and be a negatively labeled dominant player. JMO

That's some awesome sportsmanship there. Taunting should not be allowed at any level. I see kids who taunt as weak minded and a few other words that I'm not allowed to say on here. Keep it classy!

That may be possible. They have Ryle today, so we will see if they are ready to play again.

Holmes caught Cooper off guard and took advantage of an unfocused team. Some nice shooting by #15 for the bulldogs. I think that was Coopers lowest scoring game this year. Missing open layups and jump shots won't win you many games. I was told some of the Holmes kids played and even started the Varsity game the night before. How true is that?
