baseballdadeg Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Fresh from the coaches meeting tonight. 1. Highlands 2. Beechwood 3. CovCath 4. Dixie 5. Simon Kenton 6. Ryle 7. Conner 8. Boone 9. Scott 10. Cooper
Sweeperboy Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 How bout that... Just 5 short yrs ago and NewCath was talking about cancelling them because Highlands was zero competition for them and it was a disgrace due to the multiple blowouts, but they had to play them because they are in the same district, BIRDS are Dirty this yr...and they know they are and that is what is so scary:thumb:
Voice of Reason Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 And no New Cath in the top 10? I don't know anything about their team but it seems odd to me for them to not be in the top 10.

Going 11-23 and losing the 1st game in the district in 2014 doesn't help. Newport Central Catholic 2014 Kentucky High School Baseball
FeelingGood Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Why not at 9th region pole only since when Regionals come around that's really all that matters.
Juneball1 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 What coaches were at the meeting? What do they base their votes on? I can see the top 4 because they have a lot of players w/ varsity time, but Take Ryle for example, Why would coaches have Ryle over any of the other 33rd district teams. I think they were the 4 seed in district play and had the worst overall record in the district. Didn't they start a lot of seniors last season? Anybody have any answers on this conclusion? Was Ryle's coach the only 33rd district coach there and might have peeked at the straws?:idunno:
dd734 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Why not at 9th region pole only since when Regionals come around that's really all that matters. Why would you say that. Do you think only 9th region fans read this?
nkuclubbaseball19 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Why not at 9th region pole only since when Regionals come around that's really all that matters. Because the Northern Kentucky Coaches Association includes more than 9th region coaches.

horst muhlmann Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 NewCath plays Lexington Catholic and St X today and tomorrow at LexCath. Nothing like starting the season with No 1 and 5 in the state.
