  1. You can find stats for all of the state tournament teams online. 2
  2. Mason County's coach pulled his ace Williams after the fifth inning at 73 pitches to keep him available for Thursday night. Mason lost the game in the 7th inning.
  3. Camels beat cooper 3-1. Hoeh was impressive on the mound only giving up one hit. Camels play Beechwood Wednesday
  4. 37th - Scott vs Brossart Campbell vs Winner of Silver Grove and Calvary
  5. GRC has a little insider advantage with the old Campbell Coach Murray now sitting on the bench for GRC.
  6. Camels gave up a run in the first on a bloop single that was misplayed by the right fielder, and an error on the shortstop. Camels scored three in the first on three walked batters and a single.
  7. Matt plays for CC, not an everyday player this year. Catches every time Cam Edwards starts, will be looked to as a leader the next couple of years.
  8. Camels came in very flat, and thought they had already won the game after Scott used their #1 , and #2 in the 10 inning game against Brossart the night before. Eblin didn't have effective off-speed pitches, and relied on his fastball way too much. Camels allowed some of Scott's actions to get into their heads (pitcher saying things to players as they are running to first, hitter touching plate with his hand after home run, entire team repeatedly coming out to celebrate after a run scored). Baserunning mistake at the end didn't cost them the game. Player would have been out on a force out (ground ball to Mann) at third later in the inning. Only change I would have made is to squeeze with my nine hitter up with tying run on third and only one out, instead of letting him hit a ground ball to the third basemen. However, if the ground ball gets through Camels win. Easy to coach using hindsight.
  9. Campbell County's JV team beat Beechwood's JV team 10-4 following the varsity game. I was told this was Beechwood's first loss on the season.
  10. Who are some of the top JV or freshmen coaches in the area that you think could be a varsity coach somewhere? Who is the next Coach Gray that could make the jump and help a program?
  11. I know Josh Reynolds pitched for the Camels, not sure about Conner
  12. Johnny Eblin, Campbell - Kentucky Wesleyan Willie Cox, Campbell - Cincinnati Christian
  13. Not much offense for the Eagles. Campbell pitchers walked 8 or 9 batters, and Scott only scored one run.
  14. 2015 KHSBCA Pre-Season Baseball Poll (March 13) 1. St. X (12) 2. McCracken (1) 3. Pleasure Ridge Park (1) 4. Tates Creek (1) 5. Lexington Catholic 6. Daviess County 7. Hopkinsville 8. Christian Academy of Louisville 21. Bullitt East 22. Apollo 23. Christian County 24. Male 25. West Jessamine
  15. Fresh from the coaches meeting tonight. 1. Highlands 2. Beechwood 3. CovCath 4. Dixie 5. Simon Kenton 6. Ryle 7. Conner 8. Boone 9. Scott 10. Cooper
  16. Tyler Walsh from Campbell is a sophomore at Kentucky Wesleyan Robbie Franzen from Campbell is a sophomore at Georgetown College
  17. Camels had a ton of potential last year, but always seemed to get in their own way. Only true senior leadership last year came from a player that found his role diminished to being a DH only. Camels return every position player, lost one starter, and their DH. Roy Gaines a long time CovCath assistant is now on the Campbell County staff and is working with the hitters during offseason workouts. Top three starting pitchers for the Camels will be Eblin, Becker, and Edwards
  18. I'm pretty sure the tie break in a three way tie isn't a coin flip anymore. It was a couple of years ago and I think they changed the tie break to the team with the fewest runs allowed becomes the first seed. I am pretty sure if Campbell wins 7-0 then they would be the #1 seed.
