Well then if you are just looking at those 10, then Cooper actually isn't on that list. They are #11 on it. Campbell was left out at #6 .

 

Agreed. I don't think SK should be in the top ten. They really only have Lawrence this year.

How bout that... Just 5 short yrs ago and NewCath was talking about cancelling them because Highlands was zero competition for them and it was a disgrace due to the multiple blowouts, but they had to play them because they are in the same district,

I will preface this by noting it was only a scrimmage, but Campbell looked very sloppy yesterday vs Conner. Error after error and many mental mistakes as well. Cameron Edwards started the game and he did not seem to have his best stuff.

 

Conner bats woke up and they looked much better in their second scrimmage of the season. Jacob Owens went yard for Conner.

What about the defending 9th region champs? I believe Conner isn't getting nearly enough respect as they deserve!

They will compete. Lots of pitching depth. Nice group returning.

I got my first look at them the other day against a talented Campbell County squad, I believe they posted 18 runs while only allowing 3.. not to mention a different pitcher every inning. They flew under the radar all last season, keep your eye on this team they are DANGEROUS

Conners first real test will be this Thursday vs. #1 ranked Highlands in a 9th Region Finals rematch, should be a great one. Game is at Conner @ 5

I can't disagree with your take on the scrimmage. Although counting runs in a scrimmage can be misleading. ie; leaving runners on base after they were out for situation purposes.

 

This was the Camels first time on a field this year as well.

 

Conner looked solid though.
