Cooper 48 Boone County 43

Final.

Good game by both teams. Very close game as I thought it would be, some questionable calls and no calls throughout the game. Sean McNeil named Omega MVP and All Tourney MVP.

Excellent win for the Jags! They simply win by playing solid defense! Whoever was talking that mess about Boone beating Cooper by 10 cuz they had so many players that had played together since elementary school obviously has not paid any attention to Cooper and their DNA. They keep making teams play their style. Keep it going Jags!

My last point I'll make is I thought it was bush league for the Boone coach to pull his team off the floor BEFORE Cooper received the championship trophy. Absolute lack of class and sportsmanship.

Was pretty disappointed in the officiating, thought there were a few bad calls for each team. I thought that both teams played pretty well and put forth a great effort, can't say the same for the other 3 on the floor.

Pretty disappointed in the lack of sportsmanship during the trophy presentation, I do not understand why Boone left once they received their trophy, it seemed like they were instructed to do so.

You can call it trash talking if you want but the coach controls the team. It's called respect and there is no way a team of mine would ever be allowed to show that lack of sportmanship regardless of who's to blame, it should have never happen. I guarantee if the outcome would have been different the Jags would have sat there and applauded the winning team. Sully would have demanded it but the players would have done it on their own.

What Mr Sixer is referring to is after BC received their trophy before Cooper was awarded the District Champ trophy. I know they came back after the game but they did walk off the court after they received the runner up trophy

They walked off after they shook hands when the game was over, they then came back for the award ceremony.

They received their individual awards, then the runner-up trophy and left the court.

So you are presented with the facts you wanted and proceed to dismiss the behavior as "kids will be kids".

I get that it was a tough loss, this is when true character is displayed and in my opinion should have been a teaching moment.

I was confused by that move as well. Boone has never been a disrespectful program and to see that, I was at a loss. Both teams played a hard fought game where home court advantage may have been the decider in the end. The refs were questionable on both ends so, no blame there. T he leader of that Boone team "Stanley" is a stand up quality kid; win or lose, and by no means disrespectful. This was a bad decision that I'm sure did not sit well with the opponents, or maybe they were too busy enjoying the win to notice, I don't know. But as Mr. Sixer said, as a coach, I would never allow my team to walk off the court prior to completion of award ceremonies.

Great High School Basketball atmosphere. Gym was full, lots of noise and a really good close game. Both teams played great defense. Cooper out rebounded Boone and had just a little more offensively in the 2nd half.

Very enjoyable competitive night of basketball.

Inexcusable for a coach to not keep his kids on the floor and show respect for the winning team. Your excuses are your own.
