Jay Johnson is going to be a very good player and a nice pick-up for some college, very nice D1 prospect!

Indians came out and played very hard, game was never in doubt, up by 49 at half. Omar Prewitt with an absolute amazing 1 hand dunk off the oop over another player from Nicholas, will try to put video up if possible. Good win for the Indians!

I think that Coach Hundley picks up win #2 in his career in easy fashion, Frankfort will have no answer for Johnson and the bumblebees!

He is a returning player from last year that had a great season. Will only get better and will continue to be one of the better players in the 10th.

I'd expect that the Montgomery coaching staff will have thier team ready to play after the first loss. I like Montgomery in this game in thier home-opener!

As a fan of basketball in general, I enjoy and appreciate the energy and excitement that Cov Cath's student section brings. Even as a visiting fan, it is exciting to be in that type of atmosphere. I wonder if they would be willing to hold clinics for other schools student section??????????

Just wondering about the young man that dislocated his knee (or injured his knee) in the scrimmage game vs. Montgomery????? How is he doing and how long is he out?

Montgomery County travels to Covington Catholic on Tuesday afternoon for a triple header. Very nice matchup to begin the year. THOUGHTS?!!!

Those mid to late 90's teams at Lloyd were great to watch, Sheffield, Gregory, Shaun Brown, Carlata, I had a blast going to those games watching those guys. The days of Rudy Tassini!

Who is the new coach?

Some really good games and high quality teams. Coach Griesser has done a really good job or making this a top notch tournament as far as getting good teams to play. The school, administrators, and sponsors/host do an AMAZING job of running and hosting teams making sure they have a great experience. Cant wait to see some great games.

Is Dotson back and healthy after the concussion? Either way, I hope the Indians carry the Ashland momentum into tonight (even with the JC loss). Heading into the playoffs with some confidence I think the Indians can steal one in Morehead.

I like the changes, maybe kids will focus on warming up rather than putting on a show before games (dunking, parading around, etc)

I am pretty sure that one of those scrimmages are against Montgomery County. Coach Hicks and Coach Griesser hooking up for a scrimmage rather than a regular season game. Two long time high school teammates and friends battling it out. FYI, Coach Griesser is 2-0 vs. his buddy and former Cougars!

Agreed not close to top 15. Lots of good players in the state ahead of him.

Purvis, great kid, but not top 10. He benefits a lot in Clark's system because of matchup issues, normally the other team is left to guard Purvis with 5'10 because they have to match their bigs with Zollo and Rogers. He is a good at filling his role on the team and understands that role, but not the type of player as others mentioned in the top 10 list.

I agree 100%. I am not a Cov Cath or Highlands fan, but I did grow up playing ball against both programs and I understand their rich tradition and the pride these programs have. Cov Cath will NEVER be happy and view any game as a moral victory, at Cov Cath it is expected to win every game regardless of who you are playing, I am sure these young men are upset and would love another chance. I would love to see another matchup in the playoffs. Good points made StraightShooter!!!!

Agreed that it will be an exciting next several years for Montgomery, a lot of good youth talent in the system.

If Montgomery can pull off the win, they would host a home playoff game for the first time in many years!!!!!!! Hopefully this concept along with Senior night helps MC get this one done.
