I would agree. I am sure it gives hope to the other 5A schools that there is a chance to knock off the champs.

Absolutely, those men should be very proud of themselves!

CCH should be very proud of their effort. HHS on other hand should be VERY dissappointed. Dale will right the ship. Would not want to play HHS in playoffs if I'm Covcath. Dale is king of adjustments and I think he will pull out all stops in playoffs. Great effort by the Blue Colonels tonight though.

I think we saw a Cov Cath team that held back a lot of weapons for this night. And they came millimeters from pulling it off. I would not think it's a moral victory for them though. They should (and probably do) consider only a victory acceptable, no matter who they play.

As a program there are no moral victories for CCH. But I think with some of the lopsided victories of HHS over CCH since 2007, CCH going into Ft. Thomas and significantly outplaying the Birds in the 2nd half will undoubtedly give them the utmost confidence should they play again. They could have rolled over at halftime with only 3 points with 3 chances in the redzone, but instead was the agressor for the final 24 minutes.

Cov Cath played well. They took advantage of what the Birds were willing to give them. A job well done!! For the Birds....TOO MANY MISTAKES! Birds will learn from it and get better for it.

Probably but people needed to realize this Highlands team is not last years Highlands team. Still a very good fball team.

NO way CovCath would view this as a moral victory. They prepared expecting to win. They are beyond moral victories as a program. At the same time, they have to be very pleased with their effort and performance.

You can't lay the ball on the ground 3 times an expect to beat anyone. The HHS D was on the field almost the whole 2nd half of the game. I have a question? Why did HHS not take the ineligible man down the field penalty when CCH scored their td late in the 4th quarter? Which would of made it 3rd and goal from the 15 instead of 4th and goal from the 4. Next play CCH scored. I didn't get it..The Birds O needs to get on track..Good game Blue Colonels I was impressed with your play in the 2nd half. GO BIRDS!!!

:thumb: It's a step in the right direction & shows that the work that the young men have been putting is in paying off, but I'm not big on moral victories.

Maybe a MV for some Colonel fans and a certain web site originator, but not a MV for the Colonels.

I've never understood why people get upset with the term "moral victory." Heck yeah this was a moral victory and it can be used as a stepping stone.

I do find it odd that the only team that seemed to make mistakes tonight was Highlands.
